  1. Beginning to think I will have to (goes to check lotto numbers).. but wherever I move to will probably get a thunder and snow drought all of a sudden.

That storm over Biscay is our mid level muck for tomorrow sorted then... Sorry for sounding cynical but that's the way it always seems to go round here.

You've moaned here, regional and status update? Try the moaning thread lol...let others enjoying their storm crack on :-) i know I am.
  2. Must be the white elephant in the room! So 36.7C avoided Shrewsbury...lol. And a supercell. We got over it and quick. Look on the bright side eh. Edit. Why oh why do folk whine on ?

  3. Gone very dark just to the south, smell of rain in the air, is there something yet to come???

Unbelievable we couldnt reach 30 when it did so at 1000ft further north. Whats wrong with this area?

Yet to come another moan LOL? Cloud base looks low. Ish.

  4. But the thing is, living in the US, somewhere like Florida or Nebraska, you are almost guaranteed to get a storm at some point. Even if you miss out in one event, you're likely to get one another time. IIn the UK, that isn't the case. We missed out today - most people did - and I bet I won't see a single storm for the remainder of the summer.

Okay, that's just me being annoyed, but still - it's happened before.

Thing is some places either side get absolutely nothing? Despite the warnings and suchlike. Was looking at the storm action over mainland Europe only a few weeks ago, which proved the point I'm trying to make. No point stressing, right? Unless you know otherwise :-) to sum up, a whisker either side of the main storm action got nothing. Hardly a whimper.

  5. I sometimes think it would be better if we went back to the 1980's in regards to not knowing what is in front of us, too much information is obviously just too much for some people and they take it as if Mother Nature is aiming directly for the 2 teabags between their legs (Get around that Swear Filter) when things dont go as planned IMBY, Will refrain from posting in here and leave it to Nick to put down the risks before he too scoots away and just light the touch paper. Other Mods will be along this evening I guess to clear up the whinging and moaning going on in this thread.

I find it hilarious how the MET are getting slammed just an hour and a half into their risk period.

    Good luck all!

Or just ignore the ignoramuses ? Majority usually do and will. Pros like yourself have been in the thick of it, driven for hundreds of miles and still despite frustrations lack of results bounced right back. Like pros do!

Don't take the bait, hard sometimes but your input is invaluable, amongst others. Guess anyone can sit back in their armchairs and yes moan! Such is.

  6. Let's put things into perspective once and for all (our sanities) lol.

Next time you see a severe super cellular storm outbreak, anywhere on the planet, be it on any lightning or rain radar just look either side of the frenetic action? Not a single strike or drop of rain only a matter of miles away. Nothing diddly squat. Yet they were probably still under severe weather warnings.

We, UK, belong to the very same planet and storms at best can be unpredictable at worst a right pain in the proverbial. Nothing wrong with being disappointed if you miss out but whine?

  7. Seems like the dribs and drabs of the cloud are sat firmly in NW England into the midlands, east of the Pennines have lovely weather again. It actually feels more oppressive with the cloud, than without!

Yes, it has acted a bit like a lid and humidity has gone through the roof! More surges of strong thunderstorms expected later, overnight, tomorrow and beyond. Still, some will feel the need to bemoan this very idea because they've missed out so far.

  8. What a flamin day. Boiled driving the bus. Thumpin headache. Held out hope that those lovely big clouds would eventually produce some flashes and bangs but absolutely nothing! What is wrong with this part of the uk? I was busy saying this morning that i bet the storms are south and east to us, and yep, i was right. Am going for a much-needed cold shower, and sods law i'll get zapped. Not happy :-(

Cheer up it could nearly be Christmas!? Nature of storms afraid to say, very hit and miss the globe over. Let alone the UK.

  9. Brilliant, awful, brilliant, awful, brilliant, awful..........make yer minds up, chaps!

I still haven't given up hope of seeing a storm, but I must admit it doesn't look so likely now. Fingers crossed for the next few days however.

    Bish

Outbreaks of PMT spreading northwards? Dear me. Some don't half moan groan, too hot, cold, cloudy you name it. It's the UK last time I checked :-)
