Ziltch here today, great to see all the pics and video's though of everyone that's caught storms, some of them look huge and very active. Was amazed watching the lightning maps earlier seeing strikes every second or less.

Quietly monitoring the skies and radar today so far, first shower in the SW Midlands, near the Welsh boarder.

Already feels ripe out there, incredibly sticky, been a while since i felt this level of humidity. Also hotter tomorrow, if these storms pop off, some places could be looking at some locally very active storms i suspect, same on Sunday too.

Humidity is incredible, feels like mid July. Hoping for some massive storms this weekend. Hopefully without damage though, (if they come to fruition with the large hail). Would be nice if a very active MCS or line came through the entire region to give us all some action.

Yeah CG bolts, shotgun thunder, some of the heaviest rain i've seen with flooding widespread locally, pretty much like the 16th June 2020 storms and also the 28th June 2012 event, but without the large hail, although some pea sized hail was in it too, along with some very strong gusts as the gust front came through. Also yeah last Septembers storms gave some stunning lightning.

This time last year quite a few of us were about to see those overnight storms that happened on 2 consecutive nights for some of us and some daytime cells at times too.
Looking to this week and into the weekend, like others, will be keeping an close eye on developments, first for Wednesday Night and then for the weekend. I remember September storms in 2010, 2014, 2016, 2022 and now hopefully this year. The 2016 storms were pretty vicious here.
Best of luck to all for some late season pyro.

Im just 4 miles as the crow flys from Cannock, nothing heard, be it heavy rain passed by. Myself and @Sparkiee storm would have heard that.
Did anyone note the temprature drop over the past few hours?
Current Rain radar, classic Mids

Surprised some said this July wasn't going to be as bad as 2012 but i think its been near enough as bad, with how wet its been and cool temperatures. Surprised how muggy it feels today though.

Literally like October! Rain, wind and cool temperatures. Shocking July. Hope this cooler than average conditions is a sign for winter, usually don't work out like that but who knows.

Noticed that too but wasn't sure. If it were day still there would be some stunning photogenic structures.
