Sleet, Rain and Snow evident. At 19:20 back at home in Whitstable, we have received a few sleet showers, temp 2C but just received a grain snow shower. lasted only short period. Wind now NNE 20mph. Updates to follow, but its starting. Visability very good at present can see Essex lights some 60 miles away to the left across North Sea.

  8. WHITSTABLE, KENT. Now 4" and continual snow on the horizon I would say atleast another 2 hours on radar. Its now been nearly 8 hours of fall. Very good snow flake shapes and combinations.
  9. WHITSTABLE, KENT. 6 Hours of snow, still falling 3" and expect snow for another 2 hours according to radar. I saw this happening at 11.00 and why did the Met Office not issue a warning I ask until 4.30am, You could see it like a freight train heading for Kent. Most snow fall in this town since 1980's. This is accurate measure.

  12. Whitstable, Kent seen snow from 00.32 last night, small flurries started as grain snow and now just passing showers, big one came through early morning and now have a track of snow showers for the next hour I think according to radar. 3cm depth. Just returned from the USA so sufferring jet lag, had its benefits last night....
  13. Whitstable on the North Kent Coast. I have just recorded -4c on my equipment, clear sky, satellite images and stats show very little chance of snow hitting us to be honest, would love to say it is going to hit but reality is that its very unlikley this weekend anyway. Nevermind... however saying that it could easily bubble up today and shoot down the North Sea, most unlikely.
