  5. Thanks, I will download the up-to-date chart. More snow spreading into Scandinavia and only a very small of part is free of snow.
  6. I have a feeling that when we will get snow it will be when it will be when it is most unexpected. Then chaos will happen like it did in February 2009 when after a time of heavy rain the weather in January. The first new of colder weather was three or four days before the snow landed in the UK but was only forecasted for colder weather coming from the continent and a day later did the weather forecast say anything about the possibility of snow. If the weather can change so quickly from mild to very cold over a short period of time, it can happen again.
  7. This morning in South Ockendon, there was patch mist which quickly cleared up. There is very weak sunshine with partly cloudy skies. There has been four frosty days so far in Thurrock.
  8. Yes, I would rather have two days of heavy snowfall than no snow at all. I find in winter that weather forecasts changed in a period of two or three days and some times in the matter of hours. What my worry is that local authorities will be caught out as they will be not be prepared for any sudden change from mild to very cold weather with snow or very heavy frost. Even if the forecast says snow will becoming, it will be difficult to know if it will only be a light snow fall or a heavy fall until it happens.
