Incredible light show. Just a shame the early views of the fork lightning disappeared. That cell seemed to roll in very quickly almost like it formed over us.
it was just all around neighbours must think i am nuts in the street spinning round looking in all directions

That shower died as soon as it hit Stoke. Ah well.
not enough in them and no wind to drive them over leek/buxton. the peaks just suck the life out of them

face it this winter has been POOR for the middle of the country up to the border. too much marginal crap. and the south will still be moaning in a months time about no winter!

irony is in about two weeks the south and south east crewe will still be moaning that they never get snow. the way its hugging the southern counties its turned into a channel runner rather than a sliding low....winter 2019 storms on and on #yawn

Do you not think all these graphics of where the snow is and isn't, analysing every single frame is a little much. We are talking 20 miles further north, that could quite possibly happen modelled or not. Just relax and if it snows great, if it doesn't, then move on.
blooming eck! chill out jezza matts only looking at what everbody is looking at..

The Met Office forecast was most accurate IMO, unsurprisingly...
I think Arpege/Hirlam both overdid the amount of snow when it fell as rain/sleet for the majority.
the iffy bbc app was bang on here yesterday...sleet until 3 then snow until 6 then nothing but a light shower. if i had planned my day on the met office info i would of been looking for mammoths in my 11 hrs of intermittent heavy snow! its funny when you run apps side by side...kinda wonder how 2 high performance systems can be so different at the same time "Actual Real Time" as well. very frustrating!

south midlands! us in the north midlands will be dry as well its definitely a 1/10 for winter even cheshire gap streamers have delivered nothing this year...least some of you guys have had a great crisp white morning been nice to see

How long did it last for and how much did it deposit in the end?
A good hour mate.we took the dog out (only a puppy never seen snow before) we walked back 40 mins later and the footprints had gone! Made all the radar watching worth while

Really heavy now. So much so that you can see it without the aid of a lamppost. If it keeps up like this it'll leave a good covering. Let's hope so eh.
That's the band we had about half an hour ago. Doesn't look much on the radar but it's got a punch to it
