  1. I am awaiting reports from likes of Great Dunmow and Chipping Ongar. If they report heavier snow its edging my way.
  2. I guess key question was that expected. If yes ok. If no. It is news, but relevant in this region?
  3. Yes similar here Chelmsford in the Amber zone and me not. Same for you Braintree out and Witham in. Could be a difficult night if that is indeed the snow line.
  4. I am hearing reports that the EU won't let the snow out of the Netherlands tonight because its not fair that the UK gets it. They are saying the snow is their snow and apparently its in the contract.
  5. Yes with it set to get really cold the rain before really won't be a massive hindrance after a short transition.
  6. This radar view might be useful later. Radar for Netherlands and England
  7. For a short time but it becomes cold and then if heavy snow it will lay.
  8. Currently it seems unlikely to be really heavy in Bedford Sunday, but frankly your right it becomes Nowcast. You might do better from things like a Wash Streamer during week.
  9. I don't see that in the data but the data becomes less relevant soon as it becomes Nowcast. IMHO possibly a small area will go red and leaning towards South Essex and Kent but certainly unlikely the whole Amber region. That said things may evolve could push more NW than expected and be heavier.
  10. You are in a similar boat to my location in terms of Western extent it reaches, but may benefit from being more south IMHO.
  11. Yes I think so but equally we literally might be seeing heavy snow falling 5 miles to east and light for us. IMHO.
  12. The Amber warning is about 15 miles away from me in East Hertfordshire. I suspect I could still be in the game but may even be the snow line point.
  13. I am sure I won't be the only one looking and thinking of all that snow falling in to the North Sea. Just like the Thunderstorms in the Summer that ride up the North Sea that you can see even from here when big ones.
  14. Thoughts on adjustments to Meto warnings for Sunday a little later. Adjustment to Amber northern edge southwards perhaps?
  15. Sure but why not issue a more coherent warning for example issue just an ice warning closer to the time and therefore with more accuracy. Trying not to be to hard on them but just seems a little lazy.
  16. Possibly wrong thread but not sure I understand the logic of Meto putting a snow warning out on Friday through to Wednesday and then on text forecast say mainly dry Wednesday. Why even issue any warnings for Wednesday when even today the warnings are very likely to be adjusted for Sunday. In many ways even the warning for Tuesday possibly a little dubious for the entire region splattered with the warning.
  17. Literally I am outside the purple area by a millimetre. It must be about 1 mile from my location here on East Herts / West Essex border.
  18. I use to live Stanford-le-hope way in Essex that type of location done well in this setup. Fully expect my current location to not favour quite so well, but should hopefully still get some.
  19. @jamesgold I was pretty close. Amber issued, its 10 or so miles away.
  20. I bet if it does appear I will be about 5 miles outside of the warning zone.
