  1. Does this guy have a clue what he's on about? Though I do find his stuff quite interesting sometimes:
  2. How our bodies cope with excessive heat and humidity: Heatwave: How hot is too hot for the human body? WWW.BBC.CO.UK James Gallagher spends the day in the heat lab to see what summer heatwaves do to the body.
  3. Here's an interesting take on the Congress shenanigans:
  4. Forgive them, Tamara, for they do not know what they are saying. Remember February 2019, when all the background signals suggested a BFTE and even the pros got it wrong (by about 25C!)? But, hey, it's all Tamara's fault we're not sweltering in a 35C+ sweat-fest!
  5. This year must be the first one in ages when the sun has been even more unreliable than BT-wifi!
  6. I call it evolution, Dami. And, unless evolution works differently elsewhere (inorganic chemistry to organic chemistry to life), Eat Thy Neighbour must be common everywhere?
  7. 24C breached on the runway at London City Airport!

  14. True; we can only report on what we've observed, and this time last year even the stinging nettles died back. But, then, we missed all of whatever thunderstorms there were.
  15. It's looking like today will be another rather cloudy affair, though 22C at 10 a.m. isn't too bad.
  16. This time last year, there was nothing; there were no butterflies, no moths and nothing in the streetlights. This year, however, the buddleias have small whites, commas, small tortoiseshells, peacocks and red admirals; and that's not to mention the common blues and brimstones that appeared earlier. IMO, summer 2023 has been brilliant!
  17. And, don't forget the rednecks' favourite excuse: Sorry love, I was abducted by aliens. Of course, you were!
  18. But it's a wonderful diversion from what's important to us Earthlings?
  19. And the testimonies given by well-trained forensic scientists led to the unlawful convictions of the Birmingham Six: I don't think I can fly a plane, therefore, I know what an alien looks like, has much truck!
  20. So, well-trained military operatives don't 'see things'?
  21. Except when they speak Venusian? Ask George Adamski; or, better still, the late Sir Patrick Moore?
