Another year in London... The year started with a mild, wet and sunny January, though February was cooler and drier. March was mild with average rainfall and sun, April was cool, wet but sunny. May started off sunny and dry but quickly turned cool and wet, and stayed that way all month. June had near normal temperatures but was very dry and sunny. July was hot, sunny and dry. August remained dry but was on the dull side. September was very cool, very wet and very dull. October was fairly average but quite sunny. November was very mild and dull. December very mild and sunny.

LetItSnow! Southampton averaged 23.6c that September, with almost 250 hours of sun. I wonder if London's avg max would have beaten the 24.4c from last year? London is typically 1-1.5c warmer between April-September. The sunniest Heathrow September was 215 hours in 1964. Changing the subject, but Oct 1921 was above 19c in Southampton, which means a 20c average high is definitely possible.

Here's a possibly difficult one. The year started off with an exceptionally cold but very sunny January and February. March and April had near normal temperatures, though were quite wet and dull (especially April). May was very warm, extremely dry and very sunny. The summer began with a warm and sunny June, though July deteriorated to cool, dull and wet. August was a bit warmer, but remained wet although also fairly sunny. Autumn started in spectacular fashion; September was hot, very dry and very sunny. Comfortably the warmest month of the year. October was cool and dull, though November mild and wet. December was mild and dull to close out the year.

October was also very wet, dull and cool. November was a very average month, though slightly on the wet side. December was mild and wet, with average sun.
