  1. Hmm I see now, 12z UKMO and 12z NAE show the heavy stuff south west of here, hopefully GFS is right.
  2. Light snow for the past hour here in Telford, to light/wet to stick but it seems the NAE was right all along this week, I expect after dark some places may get a cm ahead of tommorow's front.
  3. Snow starting to move east now through Wales, expect some flurries/light snow west of Birmingham this afternoon/evening guys. Currently 0.5c here and the fog's finally gone at last.
  4. Nice dusting of snow this morning, keep watch of the snow over Wales later, it will fragment as the day goes but as tommorows front brews it will get pushed north east later this afternoon. As for tommorow...radar watch.
  5. 18z is much better than the 12z, continues the westward shift I was on about though, still expecting another 50-70 miles to go.
  6. Hoping for some last minute upgrades here, i'm still paranoid were get about 2cm then BAM it explode over the South East as always.
  7. http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rmgfs603.gif Classic Telford snow shield gap Friday night on the 12z, heavy snow blasting up into the South East, heavy snow over Wales and snizzle here
  8. Accumulation chart for midday Friday has 8cm of snow over us (10cm for South Mids) so certainly still looking good, don't want the angle veering anymore like yesterday's 18z though or were end up with flurries whilst Hereford/Pershore get a pasting.
  9. 12z NAE out for Friday showing front a little further west than this morning, heaviest falls across South West of the region on this run so great thing for Hereford/Worcs, would mean the snow stalled right over us when it fragmented rather than Central/East parts like the 06z but I expect further south westward corrections yet. About 30 minutes till we know GFS 12z prospects for Friday now, nerves = major.
  10. The NAE was showing it moving into our region tommorow yesterday but has backed off today, from the looks of the GFS and other models it won't make it any further east than Central Wales.
  11. Seems realistic to me  In all sincerity i'm still dubious about Friday's prospects just because Monday's fell apart two days before aswell.
  12. It's more the angle that's not so good on this run, causing it to slide into Europe and draw in an easterly, probably better for prospects further down the line but I don't care about an easterly, it's always further down the line, it's about time we got our big snow event
  13. 18z backs the front a bit further south west again, still great snow wise but I still fear this south west trend will continue..
  14. Very good in terms of prospects for the weekend, 12z is fantastic for Friday, snowfest all day but I still think yesterday's models showing it stall over Wales will turn out correct just because..well when does heavy snow stall over the Midlands
  15. Either rain or bone dry! GFS 12z seems to be backing back south westwards a little bit.
  16. NAE showing heavy snow Thursday but very borderline, charts are such a mess at the moment, I guess at this point it's a nowcast situation but I expect everything will back westwards again in the end.
  17. Yeh the UKMO in particular is amazing, GFS has the angle all a bit wrong and thus we end up with mild uppers over us by Saturday Night, ECM is brilliant.
  18. Pleasantly surprised to see upgrades for Friday, lets hope they continue.
  19. Yup and then Saturday has a few hours of transient snow before the mild air blasts in, gotta laugh really, you just know how this weekend's gonna go.
  20. Nothing to the north of here now bar a few weak flurries, looks like it's game over then unless something explodes in the next hour, no shocks precipitation exploding to life over west Wales, bitterly dissapointing day for this part of the world.
  21. Darn line of showers just 5 miles of east here..
  22. Wet snow shower here in Telford now, not sure how long it's gonna last for though.
  23. Moderate shower of graupel/hail here now, temp 2.9c
  24. Finally get the first decent snow of the winter last night and it can't even last to daylight before getting washed away by heavy rain, as is always the case in Telford, and just know that after these showers die out this evening probably just as they turn to snow the rest of the week will be bone dry here with any snow this weekend transient before the atlantic rolls in http://forum.nwstatic.co.uk//public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png Rant over.
