  1. FINALLY a glorious springlike sunny day here, the first since..well the first I can recall this year, perfect.
  2. Remained cloudy and grim this afternoon here in the end so despite reaching nearly 8c it felt rather chilly.
  3. Still yet to have a clear sunny day here, yesterday and Thursdays clouded over and todays done the same..
  4. Very decent outlook at the moment bar the low cloud dross tommorow, looks like plenty of sunshine Sunday - Tuesday then an increasing risk of wintry/snow showers by Wednesday as that easterly flow picks up. This mornings been pleasant thus far, hazy sunshine and feeling pretty mild now to.
  5. It's certainly been the snowiest winter here for many years, beating December 2010 by a long shot, however it's been let down by a lack of frost, clear nights, sunshine and sub zero temperatures, the cold weathers always been really damp and misty in comparison the dry intense cold of Dec 2010. The consistent snows of 17-25th January could of built up quite a considerable depth had it been slightly colder, but im definitely happy overall as for once weve been on the right side of marginal even when the odds defied us (25th Jan, yesterday) bar that Monday 14th? January washout.
  6. Ended up grey and showery most of today here..hopefully finally get some decent sunshine this weekend!
  7. Despite temps of 3c the thaw is fairly slow, I suspect it will rapidly pick up though when the rain arrives. ECM is great stuff but part of me wants the GFS mild weather and sunshine, cos god knows we need it while we can, we all know what happens come what May, cloud cloud cloud
  8. Up to 1.5c now with a slow thaw, next week looks absolutely lovely! glorious mild sunny days coupled with frosty clear nights if the 12z is anything to go by, as usual the perfect setup we never get in summertime
  9. Messy mix of sleet/ice pellets coming down here, front practically cleared away though, still only 0.2c! Very similar to 4th Feb last year and 7th Jan 2011.
  10. Oh bugger shot myself in the foot saying that , now turned to drizzly rain...only 0.1c though!
  11. Well..after turning to a ice pellet/hail mix its now snow again , got about 2cm fresh snow today, should clear soon so a nice slow thaw in dry conditions hopefully as apposed to getting washed away in an hour like I assumed would happen!
  12. Keeping my fingers crossed now that the front clears before it turns to rain, temp has actually fallen through the day, been hovering bang on 0.0c for the past hour but the snow seems to be turning to a hail/ice pellet mix now.
  13. Somehow against all odds its STILL snow in Telford with uppers now of +0.5 850hPa, it is showing signs of turning to sleet though but as you can from my amazing quality iphone pics weve got quite covering now.
  14. Fairly heavy snow in Telford at the moment, the mild uppers are almost upon us so suspect were be lucky if it lasts much longer.
  15. Moderate snow here in Telford with large flakes mixed in, 0.4c at the mo.
  16. Oh dear 18z a last minute downgrade for tommorow, doesn't really matter anyway as anything that falls will be washed away hours later.
  17. A few snow grains in the air here in the land Telford again at the moment/
  18. Got about 2cm here in Telford in the end, the heavy stuff stayed south of here, still looks very nice though even if its thawing now. From the looks of the charts that's it for this winter now, the usual Mid February tropical blasts seem to be gearing up again next week
  19. Typical, the line of showers kept moving north then bam stalled just south of here and now moving west.
  20. Some reasonable echo's to the south and south east, bone dry here though and the covering we got is starting to thaw!
  21. Fizzling out now for us in the west of the region quite rapidly, looks like it will stay alive for the east though.
  22. Dusting of snow here now woo coming down nicely now to, luckily winds veered more easterly so no danger of that dry gap anytime soon now.
  23. Light snow here, starting to settle aswell now!
  24. About a 80/20 mix now of snow/rain, in fact more like 90/10, temperature falling steadily, luckily dry gap is filling in a bit.
  25. Luckily precip should start to move more NW then west as the night progresses, may be a case of to little to late though if it starts fizzling out.
