  1. Yes, some people can control it better, small children & the elderly find it more difficult. The process in our body that maintains our constant temp is called homeostasis but we need to help it along during extremes.
  2. Mine too, I'm trying the shut all windows and doors & draw the curtains as I'm on night duty tonight & need to sleep this afternoon. It feels wrong as I'm a fresh air fiend with windows open day & night but the house seems cooler than yesterday.
  3. Seeing all the beautiful pics of snow everywhere but here .... so envious. Am enjoying the snowdrops & bulbs up but would really like a good snow event ,& then get on with spring, in the right order please.
  4. Snowing here! Very fine initially after a had frost. Bigger flakes now, is sticking now. Hoping not too bigger flakes as may turn wet- I rely on the old saying: " Little snow, big snow... Big snow , little snow. Anyhow, just loving seeing any snow however long it lasts ❄❄
  5. Yes, it feels wrong & unnatural.... I'm working so it doesn't feel like New Years Day but the warm temps aren't helping. Its brilliant to see the bulbs coming up but I need snow & cold weather first, in order as it were!
  6. Snowing here near Tutbury, a couple of centimetres but it is wet snow. Still great to see.
  7. That is beautiful! The music is lovely & so appropriate. I have only just seen this, the 24th was my birthday!
  8. Im missing the snow too, I hate this durge.....The snow gave me something to look forward to, be excited about. It will be ages until the lovely spring warmth so now just weeks of yeuk ( maybe not, am hoping ) Just so pleased to have had some proper winter weather
  9. I wish I hadn't downloaded a radar app.....its very addictive! Loving it really ❄
  10. Still going here! Looking very pretty, no, not deep by any stretch of the imagination but all white & lovely ❄❄
  11. Day off work so just had a 2 hour walk. Ok, I did want 2 feet of snow followed by a hard frost but it was lovely today, all the flakes from the snow showers dancing around my face & fluttering down. So glad for that instead of rain & durge.
  12. I know! I was expecting 12hrs for us plus round 2 the next day. .. soo disappointed but still a chance next few days?
  13. Same here, snow showers, some heavy & then disappears til the next one. I am still hopeful as this is the beginning
  14. Snowing well here now....dare I think it may continue.... not the leaden sky required, gaps in the cloud but it does mean there's a chance. When the Easterly picks up that should be it!
  15. Finally home from work & there are flakes blowing around in the wind & 1c Hurry up & arrive...........
  16. I was really excited about this up coming event as it seemed ' a dead cert ' but now it appears not so certain after all, well for us anyway. I'm still hoping..... ..❄
  17. Yes, you are correct, we were definitely on for a good event. It seemed suddenly to disappear to me
  18. I'm banking on mid to late February for snow from what I have read on other sites. My birthday end of the month, I sometimes am lucky for that day!
  19. It' was so beautiful out there, perfect, blue sky & 15cm but I was at work....... wanted to go out to play or walk.
  20. It's amazing! Went out for a 2.5hr walk, it was a white out! And beautiful... At least 5cm on the flat & 10+ on the hills. Since back home at 3 p.m. it hasn't stopped. Got fine & pellet like but now its thick & heavy again. All footprints from 3 are covered wow
  21. I'm only 7 miles or so from Burton & it's coming down now, light then heavy. Sky is full, I'm near Tutbury. You will get it
