  1. Hopefully one day we'll also have quantum computers producing forecasts in real time.
  2. A difficult choice as I love all 3, but snow is by far my favourite followed by thunderstorms (Plus we could still have thunderstorms with record breaking heat as the poll doesn't mention high temperatures in isolation ).
  3. nobble It was rubbish. 10 minutes of very wet snow and then back to rain.
  4. Fairly heavy very wet snow now. Small slushy deposits on my wheelie bins. Not exactly Narnia.
  5. Definite snow flakes appearing as the heavier precipitation arrives. That makes it the 8th day of falling snow this cold season. A long way below average.
  6. syed2878 Snow can settle no matter how wet the ground is as long as it’s cold enough. Seen it many times.
  7. Warmest February on record for England and Wales. Warmest February on record for England and Wales WWW.METOFFICE.GOV.UK England and Wales had their respective warmest Februarys on record according to provisional Met Office statistics in what was a mild and wet month for many.
  8. davehsug Was turning to proper snow in Longton and Fenton. Got to work in Shelton and it's just pouring with rain.
  9. More desperately needed rain for our arid wasteland is on the way this morning.
  10. Looks very similar to last time. A few cm above 200m. Little to nothing down here; Just wet snow that doesn't settle.
  11. Lies. I have trust issues after last time. Mind you, it did snow last time. It just didn't settle.
  12. Interesting that the GFS 18z extends Friday’s snow risk southward. Mustn't get sucked into it….
  13. Metwatch Just wait until we finally have a dry spell and people cry that our arid wasteland desperately needs rain as we can’t survive without being flooded every 5 minutes.
  14. The cloud (and rain) helping to contribute towards the (potentially) record breaking warm February in terms of mean temperature as it's meant very few cold nights.
  15. Geordiesnow You weren't far off with this.
