Very large flakes coming down now. Looking at the radar, I think this might be the big finale here. Although the models have that system from the north reaching our region around 6am, if it is far west enough and doesn't just affect the far east of England.

Is it me or does the same that is set to push south later further west over Scotland than the models are showing?

Oh it's absolutely pouring down. Big fluffy flakes. Everything covered. We get very brief lulls of a few minutes but otherwise it has been coming down thick and fast for hours. This is my first winter up here after moving up from London, and te first snow I've seen in years. God bless the Cheshire Gap
