  1. Metwatch Just wait until we finally have a dry spell and people cry that our arid wasteland desperately needs rain as we can’t survive without being flooded every 5 minutes.
  2. The cloud (and rain) helping to contribute towards the (potentially) record breaking warm February in terms of mean temperature as it's meant very few cold nights.
  3. Geordiesnow You weren't far off with this.
  4. Mcconnor8 Yep. I've seen people saying this spell saw the absolute maximum temperatures possible in the current client, however, it could have been a few degrees higher like you said.
  5. Looks like yesterday's CET mean (12'C) was another date record.
  6. The anti-intellectual movement. All dimwits churning out exactly the same disproven lines to berate experts whilst claiming to be free thinkers.
  7. Eskimo Snow lasting until mid afternoon would be an improvement on this winter
  8. Back home in Longton and there are actually some small piles of snow up against walls so it must have settled here earlier while central Stoke saw nothing.
  9. lawrenk Away from the highest ground, yes. We now have milder air aloft.
  10. A friend tells me the snow is bad up in Weston Coyney. Absolutely nothing in Stoke itself.
  11. Definitely the worst weather event since I moved to Stoke in terms of expectation vs reality. Just wish I hadn't told everyone.
  12. Only light wet snow despite the radar showing very heavy precipitation, so that's any tiny hope of proper snow gone.
  13. How can we be under torrential precipitation on the radar and nothing falling? God weather is annoying sometimes.
  14. OK. That really heavy band of precipitation is now over me on the radar and nothing is falling.
  15. andy_leics22 If I'm reading the models right, that intense band is our only hope of seeing proper snow, but it's showing as rain just to my south on the radar. Arpege continues to tease.
