  1. I’m 10 miles east of Reading. Does that put this area close to the 0c DP line, Nick. Also, that’s a considerable shift south!
  2. Things seem to be shifting south considerably now! I won’t get my hopes up just yet though ?
  3. If we see a 30 mile shift south, I’ll be in the snow zone. Is that possible with just 24 hours to go?
  4. I’m just east of Reading. Maybe I’ll see some snow tomorrow if things keep moving south ?
  5. Things may be looking good for here in Berkshire on Monday then?
  6. Yes, I’m keeping a close eye on Monday. We may be in for a few surprises!
  7. I’m about 30 miles south of the snow zone. I think the track is pretty much nailed now (the Met Office seem confident too). How depressing
  8. Is it just me, or does the EURO4 have the low even further south than the ECM at +48? When comparing both, EURO4 definitely looks a little further south. What are your thoughts?
  9. Thanks for the insight, Nick. It’s really useful and makes this situation all the more interesting!
  10. We may see the low slide further to the south in future runs then?
  11. It looks like a 50 mile shift (I could be wrong though). If that’s the case, the snow line will be well south of the dreaded M4!
  12. I’ve just seen the ARPEGE has shifted south again on the latest run! Could this bring more of us into the game I wonder?
  13. Both the GFS and ECM have the low on the more southerly track. Just a few shifts south and we’ll be seeing snow on Sunday. Could this be our time at last?
  14. Wow! If the ECM output verifies, I might actually get to use the snow shovel I bought 6 years ago!!
  15. I would love to see some channel lows in the run up to Christmas. It’s about time the south got a good dumping of snow!
  16. The latest Met Office outlook is certainly moving in the right direction ?
  17. The latest Met Office outlook sucks for our neck of the woods
  18. I can’t remember much snow here then and he was only 2, so wouldn’t remember it. I’m feeling positive that this winter will deliver as the signals are much better, so mabye he will be able to build his snowman
  19. I think it’s best to take a break from the models for a few days. These wild swings clearly show something is brewing and they are still trying to get to grips with it. I really do hope we get some snow this Winter, for my Nephew (aged 6), who is yet to see any!!
  20. The temperature dropped to -3 here last night and -4 in Farnborough (just down the road). Looks like we’re in for another cold one tonight too!
  21. I think we’re in for a cold one tonight. The temperature is dropping like a stone here!
