Actually think its melting in some places on the ground.

Just fine flutters here. Pretty disappointing so far. Doesnt even seem much going on on the Lanehead and Tow law traffic cams.
-
Still fairly quiet here. Odd flake floating down.

Jeez, I'm disappointed with this evening so far with the start of this cold snap - They are going bonkers for FI charts in 2 weeks time on the main thread

Snow here now. Just melting soon as it hits the very wet ground though.

Agreed Nick. Still thick heavy rain , Doesnt even leave a nice flake on the window as it hits it. If the cold air was 6 hours ahead, it would have been a lovely set of showers to get us started, but looks like we will have to wait for the N sea to wake up when the cold sets fully in.

Showers are cropping up at the minute, just a bit warm.

Looks like theres a few showers beginning to crop up in the sea

Latest measurements
Wind Speed:12mph
Wind Direction:Northerly
Air Temperature:2.6 °c
Rain State:Dry

For Toronto. Guess we need a drop of a couple degrees here.

I presume once this front/band of rain has cleared west then its up to the N Sea to start to produce showers?
-
Still rain in hunwick/crook the light drizzly type
-
Even tabbing back through the radar you can see the N Sea producing rain at the minute about 75-100miles out

Just about every cloud on the met office weather site has snow for Crook right up until Thursday!
-
The SE could get a few flakes and the whole area would grind to a halt. 95% of them claim the M25 is the North!

Just wait til the north sea fires up, if it comes to live and starts making showers then normally they are pretty decent sized.
-
How much snow are we likely to see in CM?
-
I dont really frequent on here unless a decent spell of weather could crop up, but tbh, steves posts and analysis were always near enough bang on and straight to the point
