More heavy snow showers overnight depositing at least another 8-10 cms snow, virtually impossible now to walk across the fields as snow is knee to thigh deep never mind the drifts which are now up and over most stone walls. Wind has dropped away temps -4 with wind chill -7.

Well we are pretty much snowed in now this is road going down the hill drifts hedge to hedge 4 to 5ft probably more in the narrower bit, not best of photos alas. Its still snowing hard ... Anywhere with a gap or road side on to the east is filled with snow.

Well had high hopes of awaking to huge drifts this morning but the heavy dry snow of yesterday changed to sleety snow yesterday evening but at 230am on a peer outside it was proper drifting snow.... early walk with the mad hound at 7am driving wet snow. Wet snow depths over the wellies in places and some deeper drifts but pretty disappointing soggy mess in places. That said optimistic that the driving wet snow will gradually get its act together today... temperatures hovering 0.4C . Just a bit higher up the hills I would think there will be severe drifting but far too extreme conditions to venture higher.

Now snowing lightly and wind has picked up..

Surprisingly after an ice day we have wet snow and sleety rain at moment.
