  1. I'm guessing that's it now till the next one, least it feels fresher for once
  2. This is what I was hoping for in Pickering, 80 strikes a minute! Damn, maybe next time
  3. One for coastal areas in Northern England to look out for I reckon
  4. Some very bright flashes in Pickering now, quite impressive given how bright it is outside, would be incredible if it was dark
  5. Maybe the cooler air will continue to help trigger storms even more,
  6. Think I just saw a bright flash of lightning in Pickering by the corner of my eye, was very breif
  7. Chances of more cells developing behind the cold front moving? hmm
  8. If only they would make their way to Northern England
  9. More cells developing over Ireland again, not sure if they're due to come across or just stay at their end ...Also classic UK

  11. Looking on the radar, Whitby looks to be right in the firing line
  12. Still early yet I guess with the weather warning on till 9pm

  15. glad I charged my batteries earlier, storms timed it perfectly for me coming up in the area for holiday
  16. Shame its not night as I bet here we'd be able to see a fair few flashes from the direction its coming in
  17. Looking South towards the storm heading to Pickering. Looking promising
  18. That could be possible, plus when it starts too cool down that should trigger more widespread storms, lightning wise it looks quiet on radar atm but plenty of heavy showers about
  19. Was expecting to see more lightning to be picked up on Real Time Lightning maps at the moment unless a lot of it is elevated
  20. I remember a few years ago something similar happened when there was so much cape but not enough moisture but it all kicked off out at sea near Norwich way
  21. Odds on these storms kicking off mostly in the North Sea
  22. I assume the storms will be like a squall line set up and move by quite fast
