  1. Looking to the north east at the moment, don't know if it moves. Andrew
  2. Looks good, you must be right under it, getting rain in S Manch now with thunder. Torretial shower at 2115 that brewed from nowhere on the radar. Maybe it'll makeup for missing all the action on Monday. Hmm, getting quite active, lighting every 2 mins or so and rather windy. Andrew
  3. Nothing here in south Manchester. A huge cell just grew to our east and hopped off into the Peak Dist., all we got was a few spots and the echoes of distant thunder. It's not fair: we missed all the snow in February too! Andrew
  4. Judging by http://www.bbc.co.uk/herefordandworcester/...8&region=SO they'll need some canoes! Andrew
  5. Lighting and thunder Trafford Park just now. Andrew
  6. Spring is Sprung. In Trafford Park at least, it's sunny and warm. Andrew
  7. Quite, it's the same here in Manchester. Apart from an inch on Monday that melted by Tuesday morning, and a half a cm yesterday that melted by lunchtime, it's been dry here. Not even particularly cold. It's getting beyong a joke to hear about the disrubtion in the south day after day, it's even pushed the economy off the top of the news. Andrew
  8. Yes, here too. We're very low-lying though so I'm not surprised. Hard frost has followed the thaw though! I'm just hoping it won't thaw on the hills before the weekend so we can go sledging with the kids. Any reports from Hyde hill? Andrew
  9. Not much left in Chorlton, south Manchester now, most of what was on the lawn has melted, still some on roofs. Nothing falling now either. Andrew
  10. 953 in Manchester 09:00. But that's the min my barometer goes to, so who knows the real value... Andrew
  11. Torrential rain on the M6 Staffs/Cheshire border, about 19:30, including 2 bolts of lightning. Andrew
  12. Big shower with thunder crossed N Manchester at 1ish. Now sunny again. Andrew
  13. Thunder heard in Trafford Park, Manchester. We've has some sustained heavy rain since lunch, now it's just drizzly but more to come according to the radar. Andrew Edit: Hang on, it's pouring again, but strangely bright.
  14. It's not much to look at on the radar, but here in S Manchester it's just rained, quite hard for 10 mins and now lighter. No thunder but the drops had that melted hail look to them. Refreshing after the humid day we've had. Andrew
  15. Very icy in Portland Oregon... http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=ccdde4967e&c=1 Slip, sliding away. Andrew
  16. Heavy rain with thunder 04:00 to 04:30. The thunder was all loud: no distant thunder heard, presumably muffled by the rain. Quite different sounding to that on 25 June. Rumbling about every 30 secs. The rain was about 5mm in most open vessels in the garden, enough to wet the soil to a depth of 15mm, below that it's still dust. Andrew
  17. Light snow in SW Manchester - Trafford Park, from 9am to 11:30. Never settled, not even heavy enough to wet the ground where it melted. Andrew
  18. Very pretty scenes in Trafford Park, Manchester. " heavy showers in the last half hour are laying around, even on wet untreated surfaces. It was frosty last night & clear at 7am, so the ground's cold enough. Big flakes right now, they look wet judging by the speed they're falling past my window. Light NWish wind, temp just above freezing. Jingle Bells all the Way! Andrew
  19. Sunny w cumulus all day Temp to 3C light wind Now snowing fine pellets, briefly sticking. Was suny as it started so I rushed out to see if there was a snow bow, I was too slow though.
  20. Overcast, steady light rain 7c, light w/nw wind at 11:30 now dry, cloud breaking, wind picked up, still w/nw
