Bude is taking a battering. This is exactly why the danger to life warnings were warranted. Getting hit by some of this debris could end your life:

To those giving the whole "what a let down, it was exaggerated, what storm?" nonsense - just stop.

My dad lives in Bude, I sent him a text yesterday to warn him, hopefully they're ok down there.

  2. Well got up early to get the dogs out, if it wasnt for the drizzle would have been a normal long walk, winds currently less than they have been for the last few days, but expecting it will get much worse as we go through the day, red warning, not seen one of those before, hope its a safe day for all.

Edit, local schools are now closed for the day, although my son is off college for half term, as his college in next county, but he'll be p^%sed that this wasnt next week when hes back in lol

  3. Its still windy here this morning, trees down around the area last night. really not looking forward to tomorrow, still waiting on a red warning to be issued, dont think ive seen one of those for wind around here, but with the words sting jet being banded about, potentially as its comes into east anglia, could be a lot of damage. Fingers crossed its not as bad as being predicated, either way, I think its gonna be a good day to stay home if you can.

Wet! Horrible! Crud! sums up what is was like

More cloud this morning with a very light drizzle wafting around for a few minutes, thankfully didnt last. Feeling mild, rather have the cold, sunny days back please.
