  1. Hammering it down here now, finally about to hit the 500mm mark! Currently at 499.0mm
  2. First ceiling creak of the night here in Benfleet, Essex!
  3. If you roll back the radar, over the NW of England, the precipitation has actually got heavier as it's hit the north sea :O
  4. I have to have 50mph plus to do that, with a certain wind direction, almost has to blow down the road pulling the knocker away from the door as the pressure drops in the doorway, so a south westerly! Maybe it will happen tonight, although I hope not, it sends the dogs balmy edit: Actually the squall hasn't gone the way of the dodo like I assumed, the radar has clipped some detail off. I await the next update! It has definitely died down, but I'm not sure how much, oh and it will now miss me, skirted to the north
  5. Well that was one short burst. It's gone! That lasted all of what, 30 minutes lol, Gusts are picking up here now! I may have to become tarzan and hang on to one side of the tree to counterbalance it
  6. Edit, actually maybe not! This tree in my garden looks concerning lol No actual real wind here yet, and the squall is yet to arrive!
  7. Looks like I'm going to miss that big long squall currently entering London, it should just skirt to the north of me!
  8. Also another in the south west! Actually, edit. I think thats a falcon lol Looking again doesn't look like there's too much distruption, a flight has just taken off from Exeter Airport
  9. Just at the wrong time too! Them forming squalls although fast moving could become very elongated for certain areas with the wind direction! if theres any big gusts mixed in, during or after the heavy downpours the trees won't be happy!
  10. We all know the place(s) which will receive the highest gusts, but when do we think we will see the first 80mph+ gust on xcweather?
  11. Also, take a look at xcweather forecasts, the wales location which has just had a 75 gust isn't meant to peak until around 6pm, with a peak of 68mph. Maybe we could see most figures 5-10mph up over forecasts during the peak
  12. if this rain keeps up for another 20 minutes or so I'll have reached the 500mm rain mark for 2015 Currently at 496.2mm
  13. Under the oranges now on radar but the rain doesn't seem very intense, pretty moderate actually
  14. Just started raining here, judging by the raindar it's going to start lashing it down very shortly, just as I need to go to the shop.
  15. http://meteocentre.com/analyses/map.php?map=eur_full&date=2015111710&size=large〈=en&area=eur
  16. Latest surface obeservations showing the low now down to what looks like 978mb, although it's hard to tell with the chart so busy
  17. I see a squall line on radar over Bristol right now, I am starting a display in teh garden at around 7pm and it's going to take me at least 45 minutes to let everything off. I hope it fizzles out before it arrives here
