It was over before it began for most of Kent it would seem. Not quite panned out as forecast this time.
-
I feel this may be starting to go a little wrong?
-
So.. I'm in Dover which direction will my precipitation be coming from?
Nothing seems to be moving at the moment...
-
Snowfall has picked up in Dover and wind getting up too

We need a period of green and yellow ppn to get it to start landing, think here it might just stay on grass and cars otherwise.
Exactly my thinking. I'm hoping as the whole region seems intensification in the next few hours so will our bits.
It's not over yet for the Amber to be extended to the far East Coast.

We have our own mini yellow blob, where our streamer may continue from hopefully. Fingers crossed.
Intensifying again in the town.

Subtle changes in North Kent blob alignment, will start sending ppn down the estery soon.
Still looks okay for us. Showers starting to develop between us the continent

Pulses of moderate snow now along the SE coast. Flake size keeps fluctuating. The signs of it wanting to settle on the floor now.

Yep can confirm that has got here now, although still small flakes, just more of them and looking less icy.
I can't help but think this will fizzle out for us down here with that expanding blob moving to the North of us.

There will be an overall expansion though with the push north of the wave, so I wouldn’t worry too much about how it looks right now. As many have said, things will start to get interesting later this afternoon.
True and to say the initial forecast was showers it's been snowing persistently here since 8.30

Snow pepping up in Dover. Falling moderately now with larger flakes mixed in.

This is what I was referring to. Moisture injection into the atmosphere as we move through the afternoon, pepping up the precipitation. Watch that area to the east of Kent expand.
It's going to be painful to watch it expand slide to the north of Dover ?

Which direction are we looking to for this afternoon and evenings snow?
Will it be a Euro radar watch?
This is what I need to know

Not sure where to look on radar after this band. Everything looks to be moving in different directions
-
Looking at the radar I wouldn't be surprised to see the Met Office warnings updated shortly.

Painfully slow but I'm waiting patiently in SE Kent.

Wondering what will happen in SE Kent now.
Met office going for heavy snow all day.

Beast from the east 2.0 starting to appear in some media outlets.... How true?

Couple of thunderstorms developing over SE Kent now.

Scenes of carnage in Dover this morning. Heavy freezing rain. Buses sliding, people falling over....

I am fully expecting to be still under the green bit by the end of today, just our little bit, made of teflon I tells ya!
Is it likely to turn back to snow?
