Interestingly met office have another snow event on Saturday which looks less marginal than this one.

Sleet here, feels like it's on the turn. Met office forecast reckons it will turn to snow shortly with a good few hours of all snow from midnight... We shall see

Ice pellets/rain in durham. Hoping for a covering tonight. Looking like the snow should start later on this evening. Met office forecast is still promising.

I suspect you will get a cracking fall out of this in your location/elevation. Snow totals by Friday morning. If this is correct you will be buried.

Yes uppers are dropping through the night so still hope that most of us will get a good covering. 0600 looks prime time for heavy precipitation and colder uppers.

I know the bbc app is pretty poor but if this is right we could get a decent fall overnight.

It could be marginal at the coast. Certainly looks like a lot of sleet/rain in north northumberland near the coast on the latest radar. An advantage is it's falling at night so should be a little colder
