    Looks like tomorrow morning could be the main event. Met office going for 6 hours of snow in durham. This could be the best snowfall of the cold spell. This ties in with the gfs precipitation charts as posted in the mod thread.

    Mix of rain and sleet at 100m here near durham. Are these showers meant to turn back to snow later on. Looks like consett is getting hammered as per.

    It was actually have accurate for once, although it did say snow last night which wasnt the case! Looks to be easing off here now but a lovely little snowfall.

    Yes it's looking decent, should all be snow with the current temps, baltic out there. Interestingly the bbc weather app now has snow forecast tomorrow morning as well

    Had a decent covering here in north east durham, was very surprised as went to bed with freezing rain. Next chance of snow looks to be Thursday

    What are people's thoughts on this band of showers forecast to hit this evening? I fear it could be a little sleety at lower levels and by the coast. Consett should do well though. The radar is already showing plenty of heavy showers in the north sea atm. See below euro 4 chart for this evening, this looks promising.
