Well that's not true is it. They gave us the figures on TV the other day, and doing the math it was estimated about half a million could die. I still have faith we are doing the right thing. My cousin has it, he is in his 40s, but hes almost over it now

I thought his speech was perfectly fine, as was the ones from the medical experts. He was pretty upfront, no sugar coating, and basically said, the Government is doing what it believes is right, and now its on us, the people to do the same and not have people stand there like zombies waiting for instruction.

Correct - I am firmly happy with the Governments response and reasoning. It's quite simple: Oldies & People with Health Issues - Stay indoors Youngies - Go about your daily life as normal, spread the virus, develop immunity. It protects us from the second wave.

Yes, herd immunity. I'm very confident in our countries decision not to follow 95% of the world decision to shut everything down. I trust and believe in our medical personnel to do the right thing. This is uncharted waters, so only time will tell, but its god damn scary.

I believe you. Unfortunately I know the same information. My business deals with the NHS, specifically infection control and orders for my product are going through the roof, I've spoken to several Directors of IC and it's about to blow up.

True, the global rate is around 3.6% I believe, inflated by certain events, and certain countries which are not up to standard. I.E - I seen a video of grown men licking a pole as part of some form of religious act in Iran which isn't going to help matters. In 6-12 months we should have a good idea though.

It really is pointless to be calculating any CFR until at least another 6 months to a year to gather sufficient data or until it's all under control.

The current CFR rate King County, VA is 28.125%. For the USA as a whole it is 6.79%. I wonder what the demographics are like in KC? Older people?

I don't get the whole toilet roll thing. It's happening in the States too, panic buying of toilet roll. I'm pretty certain if it ever got the point where I needed to bug out, I'd be buying canned food, because I can't eat toilet roll.

Kids are contracting it, but none of them have died and have presented mild symptoms. The problem is, if a child gets it and has mild symptoms, one would assume it's the common cold, they then become serious spreaders, especially where they put their hands and spit/lick random things.

It does say on the news update that they will be contacting all who they believe might have come into contact with the infected. I heard it was a patient in the ICU, which would be the main building - I was in a different building, but still worrying.
