    Same here Mixer, I've just gave up on the main banter thread and prefer to sit around here, or just take a glance in the focused model thread. The S England bias is unreal at times!

    The ICON 06z seems to be in for Thursday morning.. It predicted the (lack of) snowfall perfectly for the last front which came past a few days ago.

    The 850's if the latest GFS is to be believed, look a bit colder than the last spell. So more widespread and more prevalence to lower levels?

    Absolutely fantastic GFS 12z run. Everybody gets some snow, North south east west. And it keeps going too..

    UK and Ireland interesting to see. Also note the northern half of the Gulf of Bothnia should freeze up much readily now. This is the 22nd.

    Snow of course melts as soon as the showers stop. I am slightly disapointed that it is just a dusting, but go out of the low level areas and there is a lot more of it around.

    No idea what the temperature is out there now that I've broken my thermometer. Its chilly though. No snow yet of course. Would prefer if the ground dried up and cooled down a bit before the nightly onslaught.

    Even though the automated forecast is not great as it usually is, I am quietly confident for Derry tomorrow. After a Winter of zilch and nada payback must come at some stage!!

    MetO video forecast showing little if any snow produced from the front. Plenty behind it, however. Automated forecast dropped to 2/3C for all of Tuesday at my location. Not paying 2 much attention to if it says rain or not .

    I generally hope you are right!! But low elevation in PM airstreams, never seem to go together
