Beautiful blue skies today.

Chilly and gloomy again this morning, at least it warms up next week!

The only year I can recall in the last 10 or so year where grass stayed green was in 2021 here, even last year it browed off in may/ June.

I agree but I'm not exactly west, I'd say west is warmest perhaps.

If this is what 'high pressure' looks like nowadays then I really give up
It isn't exactly very high pressure though, only around 1018mb in your area.

Plumes are overrated these days. They never tend to deliver thunderstormwise round here
Plumes are amazing if you live on or near the south coast usually. It's the only synoptic that delivers thunderstorms here 99% of the time. That's probably why a few people I know think thunderstorms only happen overnight.

First day this year I've had to take my jumper off, that sun is warm!

Loving these dry offshore winds, 13c so not too bad in the sun.

Missed the squall line this morning, went through a gap, disappointed. Decent day in Southampton today though, mostly sunny with a brief heavy shower while waiting for the train to come home.

Freeze Shoreham reached 16.3°C on Friday.
That 16c must have been very brief as I didn't notice.

CryoraptorA303 I've got the heating on aswell, houses here havent had the sunshine or warmth during the day to heat the bricks up, we havent even got above 15c in my location yet and its been mostly cloudy. Currently 11c so basically winter temps still.

Much nicer here today with lots of sun and already warmer than yesterday at 14c.
-
Quite a thick fog this evening, makes for a calm, atmospheric feel.
-
Much better from tomorrow onwards, warmer and sunnier, anything is better than today.

I have never heard thunder so explosively loud before, one bolt sounded like a bomb going off right outside, must've struck directly overhead. Loudest thunderstorm I've ever known.
