Mail is jumping on board now
In Yorkshire, the Met Office predicts temperatures will fall by as much as 10C with snow expected to fall during the month.
Meteorological expert Dave King said on This Morning: 'It is gonna be bitterly cold and very frosty.
'That's bad news for people with gas and electric because your bills are going through the roof.'

What the Met Office says about reports it is going to snow in October - Wales Online
"Later in this period, there is the chance for settled conditions to become more widely prevalent across the UK. Temperatures are likely to be around or slightly above average."
But meteorological expert Dave told ITV's This Morning last week: "There's a snow moon on the 29th of October, followed by two more snow moons in the first three weeks of November. So it is gonna be bitterly cold and very frosty."
Who is Dave?

A complete change this morning - 100% cloud cover, about 17C and fairly breezy. For the first time in several days it’s cooler outside than inside! No rain yet, though. Looks like it’s headed this way but the forecast only predicts 1mm of rain for this location so that won’t do the garden much good…. No serious rain predicted here until Tuesday - but you never can tell!
well according to the met no rain until wednesday for St Davids

Quite nice today with many sunny periods between the clouds. Only had one brief sleety shower so far but the wind is still strong and pretty chilly, too. The wind is expected to increase overnight again but not as bad as Thursday night, then gradually easing until next week, when we could have another spell of settled weather. No heatwave in sight, yet, though......
Never fear it will start on the 27th when the van opens

Morning! Still here but that was a bad night. Didn’t get much sleep to start with and then at 2:15am the power went out. The guys at Western Power had it back on by 3:00am so my thanks to whoever had to come out in that weather and make repairs..... but by then I couldn’t go back to sleep so had to sit and listen to the racket outside. I think the MetOffice got this wrong - it should have been an amber warning and a name would have made people more aware of the strength of the winds. Maybe it’s because it didn’t affect England too much, I don’t know. I’ve had a look around outside and no real damage, thankfully, but I’ve got one of those large ‘store it out’ boxes full of garden tools, hose, and other bits and pieces - pretty heavy. This was lifted bodily off its base and turned on its side, then blown several feet across the ground. Must have been one massive gust to achieve that..... I hope your caravan is OK!
Live Met Office and weather updates as power cuts, flood warnings and 86mph winds hit Wales - Wales Online
WWW.WALESONLINE.CO.UKThousands of homes are without power and a Met Office weather warning is in place until later todayWell i havent had the call yet (fingers crossed) Was worried about my plastic shed behind it. Have got it rawl plugged into paving slabs and two tension straps over it.
It was pretty wild here on the side of the mountain
Reached 87km gusts no power cuts but plenty of bins rolling down the street

I think sustained wind speeds would need to be over 50mph more widely and gusts of over 80mph maybe inland rather than just around the coast and hills. They say it’s dependent on the likelihood of damage and disruption so storms in summer and autumn especially where they affect more densely populated areas get named more often because of the increased chance of falling trees. Even so, this one must be near the mark by the sound of the wind outside now. I’m probably not going to get a good nights sleep tonight.
You still with us or been blown away

Nooo! Please don’t! It’d probably reach me from there!
If you thought that looked windy, this is what the ECM now shows for 6:00am next Thursday (wind gusts km/hr)....
So, it has changed. For the worse . I’m sure it won’t be as apocalyptic as this, though, come the day.... Other models are not quite so pessimistic, at this stage anyway.
That's my caravan down St Davids blown away or maybe the shed behind it

Don’t think we got below freezing here because the cloud level dropped and we now have fog. It’s trying to lift but it’s definitely not as warm as yesterday yet....

16.2mm of rain yesterday, the wettest I've seen the fields in years. More like ponds atm.
I've noticed looking at the charts there's a high pressure area building. Is this likely to bring a cold snap again?
Could be something around the 8th, though the met are not picking up on it
Monday 1 Mar - Wednesday 10 Mar
During the first week of March, many areas of the UK are likely to see a continuation of settled weather. Dry conditions with clear or sunny periods are likely, especially in the south of the UK. Any unsettled weather with corresponding showers or rain are most likely to occur in the north and northwest of the UK. Strong winds may also affect northern and northwestern areas at times, but elsewhere winds will likely be light and, as a result, fog formation overnight may become more prevalent. Temperatures for this period will likely be average or slightly above average for the time of year, although some cold nights with frosts developing in places are still possible.

No surprises this morning.... it’s still raining steadily here. Also, the wind is picking up again. Not a good day for going out, then. Oh, I forgot. We’re not allowed to go out, anyway. This is getting very depressing now. How I am longing for some dry, sunny, warm weather to cheer us up again.
and to be able to go out.
Head is completely shot. As i mentioned on here before eventually finished sorting out and selling the mother in-laws bungalow beginning of January (died in the Royal Gwent after falling over in hospital 12months ago next Wednesday. Yesterday broke the back of my mothers bungalow moving it into storage units after she had been sectioned before Christmas. Cant give her stuff away at the moment due to lockdown. Forgot to add she was a bit of a hoarder 156 tins of dog food for example and only one dog ( which my son has and i have just spent over 3k in vets bills as it has cancer) not to mention the 7 irons, 6 kettles, and 3 hoovers still in boxes, forgot to add the 15 bin bags full of clothes, which 2 bags still have labels. My eldest son started an extension last march and its still ongoing and he is bloody useless. So asked if i could project manage this since Christmas to try and get it finished. I also forgot i am self-employed and work full time. I know i am being selfish but cant wait to go down the caravan in St Davids just for the change of scenery rain or shine.
Sorry for the above just needed to get if off my chestt
Anyway yesterday and today in total here we have had an inch of rain now if this had been last week we would of been seriously digging ourselves out
