  1. I hope so. That lot in the south east are going to have a meltdown. They then may actually realise Wales exists.
  2. Nice to see the snow falling here during the night. Still hanging around here at the moment but expect it will melt later before turning to ice. MAD thread has the usual idiots saying 'winters over' , blah blah. Will they never learn? Or even speak English as they seem to have their own code half the time which I find infantile lol. Looking forward to the next snowy spell anyhow as I'm sure it won't be too long. Hopefully around the Xmas period.
  3. And these days we have what exactly? Dodgy models that are always 10 days out? No clue what the weather will do in 4 days? Nothing really changed.
  4. They never learn in the mad thread. They wouldn't notice six feet of snow outside cos they're too busy looking at models.
  5. Looks like we're missing out on this one I guess. Still, it's not raining. A small win.
  6. All mention of snow next week seems to have disappeared? I'm guessing this is due to the models being all sorts at the moment? Anyway, still it's nice and frosty and not raining so I'll take that.
  7. Cos this is the UK. We're not allowed prolonged wintry weather cos we're floating about in the Atlantic. If its damp, miserable and wet weather you want we're in the perfect place.

  9. So, time to enjoy this snow tonight whilst it's still here, albeit briefly, but when do we think we'll have another snow event? Hints that next weekend is looking much colder again after the coming weeks milder interlude.
  10. Getting heavier as I left Bedlinog. Bit lighter through Treforest but heavier now in Church Village. Looks like its In for the day. Interesting drive home I reckon. Better crack on then. Happy snow day you lot.
  11. I think winter has more to give. Experience says we don't have this cold and prolonged snow showers (or prolonged agony, delete as appropriate) without a decent snowstorm. We'll see.
  12. I completely agree and model watching provides very, very little information apart from wind and rain which is, unfortunately, our main weather.
  13. Well there we go guys and girls. Let's write this off and move on to the next cold spell. Onwards and upwards.
  14. Well I still think Thursday and Friday could be exciting. On a similar subject. As today has been snowing very finely, almost dust like, I remember an old friend once told me that 'small snow means big snow'. I.e small flakes equals more lying snow'. At first I never believed him. But after years of following the weather I've come to realise that's he's a complete knob.
  15. Only problem with this is we'll be out of the cold air by Monday. Still, fingers crossed.
