  1. If heavy and persistent snow is spreading from the south it will be heavy and persistent in Cavan and Monaghan first which is ulster and the warning doesn't state that.
  2. Update red. Blizzard for muster leinster. Connacht and Ulster scattered snow showers. So the organised snow won't reach them.
  3. No. Everywhere has been red since since 11pm last night. Just one warning since then.
  4. That is crazy. No snow where I am. No snow if we even get any from Emma for at least 12 hours. Shops closed, schools closed its just utter bó llox tbh for no reason in my area.
  5. Warning just covers Donegal, cavan and Monaghan, they don't issue warning for Northern Ireland but they give a weather forecast for NI. I don't understand the red tbh for Ulster counties but maybe they see something we don't.
  6. One at the top is latest. North third of the county has a lot less snow. Still great below that but always was.
  7. Hirlam not as good. Gfs same boat. Hirlam below 18z then 12z
  8. I glanced at it earlier. Showed a spell of snow for all then it dies away, later on it showed a spell moving in to the SE think later Friday that was.
  9. Encouraging for those across the Northern third of ireland. Met Éireann just added Donegal to the orange warning. They had no warning for Emma earlier.
  10. Looks like I was wrong above about NE, or is that because of snow already accumulated before Emma. Anyway no doubt be different next run ha
  11. Hirlam North East Northern Ireland looking even worse than the north west now.
  12. BBC update Outlook for Friday to Sunday Friday will be a cloudy and windy day with widespread snow in the morning. The afternoon should see the snow slowly clearing, and it will dry with clear spells during the evening and night. A spell of rain, sleet and hill snow is likely on Saturday, and Sunday will have sunny spells and showers.
  13. Update This Evening and Tonight: There will be a mixtire of clear intervals and occasional snow showers, these showersmore frequent across Down Armagh and towards Fermanagh, with further accumulations. Some clear spells too. Bitterly cold. Minimum temperature -5 °C. Thursday: Another bitterly cold day with occasional snow showers, these more frequent across southern counties with moderate falls and drifting in places. Fresh to strong easterly winds/ Maximum temperature 1 °C. Outlook for Friday to Sunday: Remaining cold with further snow showers but a lot of dry weather too. Occasionally windy.
  14. When a mild south westerly is locked in forecasting is great...once there's cold air over us the models are pretty useless especially when it comes to the track of low pressure impacting us. The slider in December was the same until a day out. All over the place.
  15. Need a proper covering to reflect some of the sun. Bits and pieces melt quicker. Looks pretty quiet across the North for this evening.
  16. And the only place with no snow warning for today in NI having the heaviest snow.
