Still dry here in Epsom. Although I've just stepped out of the Hairdresser's, which usually means it chucks it down about 10 minutes after.

Chelsea fan in a house full of Gooners, here I'll be spending the evening watching the radar and light outside, no doubt! When is the main band of PPN due to hit Surrey? Looking at the radar now, is that the lot coming in from the west now?

We got a good 10 inches in 2010. I'll have to dig out a photo of my trusty measuring tape in the snow. (Or was it 2009?!) Possibly the latter. I'm out now but when I get home I'll double check. (Sorry MAF, can't get rid of the quote box!)

Last year, when we had the Beast from the East, I took the kids sledging up the Downs, on the way back my kids wobbly tooth fell out. (May have been due to the fact I shoved him down the hill so fast, he would have beaten Usain Bolt in a race). The point I'm trying to get to is the fact my other kids tooth is wobbly. The same one. Could this be imminent? Is it waiting for the snow to appear. It's an omen. If no one sees me tomorrow, you'll be seeing me dragging the kid with the wobbly tooth, up the downs, to do a snow dance.

I have lamposts but they bloody go off at 1am! Glorious day here today. Sun shining, hard to believe anything white is heading our way. If at all!

Wind has picked up here in Epsom. Wet and windy night for us. Feeling hopeful for next week!

Fingers crossed!! I've got a huge tree outside of my house, usually the birds are in and out all day , very active. They have suddenly become quite subdued and quiet. I'll be taking that as a sign. I'll take any sign I can get...

Beautiful day here in Epsom. I can see clouds building up towards my west, so fingers crossed we may see a little something later. I'm up near Epsom Downs later, hoping the higher I go I may see a blinking snowflake

Slight snow flurries up in Tadworth/Epsom Downs earlier this àfternoon.

Wow. Where did those last few months go?! Certainly a chill in the air IMBY. Already hunting for the lost glove from last year.. What's our feelings for this Winter??

The pathways are fairly slippy in places. Nearly went flying a few times, be careful! Car had a couple of cms on it. Ready for spring now as we are going away!! Looking at models, it appears we are heading v towards the snow.won't be packing my bikini then ?

Will we be getting a good dumping tonight ????

We have had a fair amount these last couple of hours in Epsom, Surrey. One thing I have learnt this Winter, is to not take things to literally. Mother Nature will do what she wants to do, not what a model or forecast suggests! Good old fashioned lamppost watching has been my best bet this year. Fascinating stuff! now for a it of Radar watching with my Pear &Chocolate crumble ?

My lamppost goes off in 7 minutes. Humph.

Snow picking up here in Epsom. Drive is covered with a thin coating, I must have fallen asleep too as last I saw we were in the only patch not covered, and now it’s returned,, ?

I feel like I’m at that part of the night, where the lights come on , everyone’s getting chucked out of the club/bar/pub (delete as per age) and there’s the rowdy ones. You feel like you are sober, but you’re not, and you feel like you may have to swerve this one out.
