Well good luck with everything! I sure will be logging into the webcam on St Ouens Thursday just to get a idea of the impact of this storm.

Excuse my limited weather forecasting knowledge, but what sort of wind gusts can I expect in the higher parts of Bradford? I really don't have faith the BBC app at all. Got quite a few friends that rely on me feeding back the information from this forum. Thank you and stay safe all. -

Thats the one I am using for the River Aire at Apperley Bridge where my mum is. I have been reliably informed by my mate who works for Calderdale Council Flood Risk Dept to make plans for moving things higher by Wednesday as he expects it to flood again and perhaps surpass the 2015 Boxing Day floods!!! Not good news at all im afraid...

Yes my mum has the River Aire running at the back of her garden in Apperley Bridge and ive just had a call from my mate who works for Calderdale Council Flood Risk Management and he quite worryingly said this could be worse than Boxing Day 2015! Start to move things now for her is not something I want to hear......What with shielding from Covid and now this no thanks!!!!

Im really hoping the forecasted rain levels don't materialise as my mum has the River Aire running at the bottom of her garden and I don't want a repeat of 2015! Last time the pumps and flood doors held up and kept it out so fingers crossed it does the same again....Just give me snow please I don't mind that... -

Hello everyone. I don't post here often but enjoy reading the various posts each with their own insightfulness. Im due to go to Jersey on the 8th August for 2 weeks and I am very excited by the prospect of the some major heat building up from the 7th. Does Jersey tend to be cooler due to the surrounding Atlantic Ocean? Cheers -
