Morning all! Awake at 03:20, with heavy snow falling (looked like rain had come through first as the road was soaked). Snowed for a good 30mins, then fizzled out. Started again around 04:20, but a snow/graupel mix and that only lasted around 10 mins. Have a covering here, but nothing to shout about, and temperature is bang on zero. -
I took my 30s of falling snow, videoed it, and banked it

If we're going to still be in lockdown come March, or still be limited in what we can do, I'm ready for Spring, and some warmth to get out in the garden. If we have some freedom, then I'm all up for some something colder, especially if that means I can get up to Scottish ski resorts for a weekend. It's been sole destroying seeing the vast amounts of snow in the highlands, and to be in a position where I (and the resorts) can't take advantage of it.

The winds should have changed by now, and we've got this as possibility if it moves up the coast.

Going through some of the models, it looks like 12-3pm is going to possibly be Newcastle / Sunderland / Durham's chance.

Looking at the winds, I think that's going to go West, via Northumberland, then up into Scotland

Wind at the moment is skirting around us at the moment, although it starts to sort itself out as the day goes on. That being said, by the time the wind seems to be favourable, the system looks to have moved north

You’ve got to laugh at how shocking all the weather apps are! BBC were the only one showing snow, and when I got up, it was showing heavy snow from 8am to 6pm. Now, even though we can see showers coming through, it’s gone to no snow at all

Looking at the radar, some of these big showers could land just on ‘rush hour’!! Possibly cause quite a lot of issues on the roads.

Well, that was a nice surprise to wake up too! Plenty of big showers coming through too by the looks of it

Just been out with the dogs, and a nice -6. You can tell it’s cold, as they are hyper! Got back home, let them both out, and they curled up down the bottom of the garden. Was just going to leave them out for the night, but next door are looking after their sons spaniel, and it barks like **** if it comes out and ours are out too.
