    I see your point and also John's, but the intensity seems to be a lot deeper than first calculated.

    The Jet Stream has moved further South than anticipated allowing the cooler air to meet head on with the warmer air, thus the intensifying low pressure we are now seeing establishing over France which is now very evident spreading North in the direction of the S/SE.

    The latest radar is very dramatic indeed. There has been a major jet stream shift where a massive low pressure has formed over France and is heading North towards the SE / London bound. If this massive low pressure carries on it's present course, there will be severe problems. The government have ordered all weirs to be opened to allow the water to flow into the sea as quickly as possible, hence the latest severe warnings from news channels.

    14C and dry at the moment. There seems to be more rain moving East towards London!

    Over in Bracknell today and it looks like night time out there with pouring rain.

    Mr Data, Following this article, after scientists in Australia released particles into the atmosphere to enhance rain clouds due to their excessive drought conditions, they were successful making it rain, but things got out of control with severe storms and torrential rain causing flooding. This seems to have effected the weather patterns, hence the Northern part of Europe experiencing sustained rain and the Southern part of Europe experiencing extreme high temperatures.

    I'm going for a cold period from the 4th April. Today has been quite chilly here at 6c. Not sure why the good old MetO kept on saying 12c?!

    Reports of light snow in Berkshire. Thought it was meant to get milder today !!!! Looks lkie the colder air is fighting back !

    A few inches of snow and my kids were jumping for joy at 5.30 this morning. B) There appears to be ppn slowly making it's way Eastwards from Cardiff.

    Charts are looking good for snow. A few inches of snow can be expected where you are.

    Outside chance of snow showers penetrating further inland and in a S/SE direction. Only outside chance though!
