  1. No these were the British Type that multiplied, they had JCB's collecting them off the beaches.
  2. Bit off topic again but in norfolk this summer we were infested by millions of ladybirds, i wonder if they knew what was coming and multiplied so that they would survive the winter? Sorry.....bit random!
  3. We had light PPN over us earlier but the showers got heavy so the Meto radar is slightly deceptive i think.
  4. Light/mod snow 10 miles south of Norwich, quite a suprise tbh as theres hardly anything on the MET Radar.
  5. Now the sun is getting higher i can see some showers activity beefing up in the wash, not sure if these will continue to beef up or how far inland they will get.
  6. Its still a complete non event in Norwich, it has just missed us so far this winter. Hoping for some good news as I would really like to get snowed in. Can anyone give me any positive news?
  7. I am unsure that Norwich will get much out of this as everything I have seen so far seem to just miss me, it will be a complete disapointment if that happens. Not sure if any one has any views on that? It is actually snowing here south of Norwich at the moment but its so light I can hardly see it!
  8. There was some ice forming on a shallow part of the river Yare in Norwich this morning, not much maybe 5m x 10m square but its the first time ive seen that in the last 10 years.
  9. If you want to see what might be coming your way theres loads of good webcams in here http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/travel/jam_cams/full_list/
  10. Well.........really heavy snow in Norwich, been going for 10/15 mins now.
  11. I really hope when you say 'I think that obviously Northern & eastern parts of the region do the best – with some areas taking a real hammering' that you are talking around the Norwich area?
  12. A mixture of Rain and Ice rain falling south of Norwich! Very Cold!
  13. I certainly will be doing that....only problem is the lamposts may get buried after a few days. Looks like we are going to get a pasting, ive never seen anything like this forcast in the charts even in previous FI senarios of the last few years. Unbelivable!
  14. All looking good for Thursday/Friday in Norwich, would be good to see a complete white out. What time is the next ECM and fax charts available?
  15. I can hear Thunder 10 miles south of Norwich, quite a few black clouds about.
  16. Just started snowing again 10 miles south of Norwich. Quite suprised as there is nothing near on the radar
  17. Sleet just south of Norwich Did not really expect anything!
  18. Very tiny bits of something white starting to fall in norfolk just south of norwich!
  19. --> QUOTE(Paul B @ 8 Feb 2007, 12:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't we can expect too much here in East Anglia now. Its recently turned to rain here, 10 miles inland from the Suffolk coastline and there's a rapid thaw of the lying snow we have had.Still, there's always Saturday perhaps. Thanks for that B) I will keep my fingers crossed but......I will believe it when I see it! B)
  20. Very dissapointed with todays snow as I was kind of expecting a bit of a dumping. Norwich normally does get some quite nice snow fall and TBH we got more snow the other week when we got a couple of cm in a very short time. It has been snowing since about 8.30 this morning however the only way I can describe the snow is drizzle as it lighter than what I would call light snow. I think thats almost it for today as it look like the ppn is disapearing fast on the radar! B) If you know any different or more is on the way please let me know. B)
  21. Had a brief bout of hail at 7.30 am today. Waiting for more showers to arrive patiently
