    Same. 17.7C and 88% humidity...I thought that would make it ripe for a storm. Guess I need to get back to the books.

    Is it likely in Basingstoke area tomorrow? I look at the CAPE LI charts and it seems to show a pretty permanent state of possibility over the next few days but I am not sure what else to look out for to get a better idea of the likelihood (albeit taking into consideration the notoriously difficult to predict element )

    Hmmm. Lovely to see so many folks getting a good show - I'd give mine a 6/10. Can see so much activity North, East and South but tonight no great show for me. I'll be radar watching for a wee while longer but then gonna call it a night. Enjoy the show peeps!

    All distant every which way but looks like no hit for North Hampshire

    Sitting up at Odiham...lighting up in distant different directions and wind picking up. I feel all wuthering heights

    OK. So watching radar and waiting and hoping that big splodge in France keeps moving in the right direction. In the meantime, does anyone know of any good viewing spots in N Hampshire/Surrey borders? Often use Odiham airbase but just wondered if there is anywhere with a little more height.

    Well I've been reading the posts for some time now...and swotting up. You are in my neck of the woods so I take that as a good sign . Will be out for a chase later when I have finished work. In the meantime, keep up the great posts all - perfect aid for learning more
