The models have increased the CAPE for today
-
Sun has made an appearance here breaking through the clouds, feeling very steamy this certainly has enhanced the potential if it continues
-
Heading into liverpool now
-
I have my eye on Monday for the east, conditions look perfect for some storms

I'm quite interested in tomorrow. The modelling is suggestive of possible convective activity through afternoon up through Wales, parts of the W Midlands and up into N England.
Like today, was expected nothing occurred same for tomorrow i reckon

Think the worst of it will hit Huntingdon onto Cambridge. Direct westerlies usually result in showers breaking up over rockingham forest area and the main events following the A14 corridor. Seen it hundreds of times. We do better from SW’erlies or slightly North of West.
Slight thunder heard near Whittlesey direction
-
Very dark clouds approaching

Been too much cloud so far here, blocking the sun from getting to work. Hopefully now this residual muck clears, the mid afternoon will help to fire that stuff exiting wales later on. Looks good further south though, and the usual Lincolnshire storm magnet getting going.
Looks like we are heading for direct hit, suns out now

All this unbearable heat here in thesouth east gets and we can't even spark of a major break down , poor but not surprised as its the UK
-
I'm not trusting what met office says really just watching the radar because any changes can be made
-
32 Celsius in Peterborough, and with no lightning activity but rain in the south east currently isn't that a bad thing for a risk of storms later or will this not limit potential? going to travel east later
-
Not in the warning area but towers going up in Peterborough quite windy too, sunny 29.5 celsius
-
Why is it thundering in Peterborough ? Was not expected to be woken up by thunder as did not know the conditions were right wow !

Gusts of wind and heavy rain once again, there doesn't seem to be any electric left though
Take my words back!

Any merging possible with the current storms in the south?

Been following it on radar: as you say, an intense and not forecasted storm.
Was bang under it, not as intense just a sharp shower and a rumble of thunder

Storm over Peterborough, heard nothing yet

Think there is a lot of potential later

Overall for a storm that's had all that heat and all that humidity, it wasn't all that! The start of it looked like end of the world stuff, but the rain isn't that much and there's the odd lightning strike. Just a small summer storm really for kent
Depressing, we needed more
I agree, with all the heat was expecting especially more flashes, more intense thunder and hail. Disappointing but better than nothing I guess

Just about to move into the proper storm after an intense gust front. Sky is black, frequently lightning and could see hail curtains. Now moving into the torrential rain.
It looks incredibly lively down there!

Sun breaking through, steamy feeling. Hoping today delivers some lively thunderstorms than the recent days.
