I don't understand why you're constantly rubbing salt in the wound. Fine , you live in a part of the world where it's easy to see snow, we get it. Good for you, but don't constantly brag about it! This winter has been one of the worst i can remember. So boring, and useless. What a drag of a winter . Makes me feel angry and frustrated.

How is this related to the thread "model discussion"? If at all it should be moved to some of the regional forums. And btw 90% of us has seen nothing of that, so it's even a bit out of line.

I don't know, basically our only hope for snow in winter is a easterly, and the city is somehow protected by the sorrounding hills, so it's dryer than what people thinks. It's a nice city overall

Speaking about closing the borders, I am with you 100%. But we are off-topic here. Going back to the weather... People go on holidays for various reasons: To experience a different culture, different food, different landscape, different lifestyle and so on. The weather is only part of it. Besides holidays are 1-2 week long. For 2 weeks 35-40 degrees could be (for someone, not for me :D ) a pleasant novelty. Month after month after month it becomes a nightmare... Here in the UK summers are made up of cool nights, so you can sleep properly without suffering, and warm days where you can do all sorts of outdoor activities without even sweating or feeling uncomfortable in the scorching heat. What's not to like?

Absolutely, people have no idea what they are talking about. Having spent many years of my life in a much hotter climate i can safely say that, especially in a warming world, the uk has the best summer weather in the entire world.

I just hope we won't have 3 months of relentless heat without any rain. 25 degrees is my upper limit. Above that i start suffering and it feels unpleasant.

You have no idea what average means, do you? On average the world temperature is increasing, that doesn't mean than in a small neck of wood, for a short period of time, temperatures can be below average. What's so hard to understand?

I suggest you don't worry too much about Kent. If it comes to snow on average we get 10 times what they get. This is an exception,not a rule And when it comes to everything else (people, food,scenery, cost of living) the north east as always wins 100 to 0.
