Crucial bit though is, will there be any ppn? Probably...

Have to say that this morning so far has been a damp squib here.

Models are seeing those, in particular after midnight today for more areas over the country. Best chances would be in the morning, more largely between 00z and 12z tomorrow, but it's always hard to be sure.

Yes I did see the UKV is all for a well defined squall line then going into individual cells as it gets to more central areas again maybe worth monitoring for rotation / funnels etc? image.thumb.png.d0f9df37f789f88d45484db0c727b1b4.pngimage.thumb.png.7782536edcbabd5a988b66eb1fd9db8b.pngimage.thumb.png.ac12acede020202580bdf717ee131861.pngimage.thumb.png.688f99a43318995d4d8516347a915e00.png

There is still a bit of helicity remaining when the squall starts to break up in the early morning, so it may be worth it.

It will be another noisy night, that's for sure.

Some thunder about in these heavy showers, as the radar shows.

I had a single lightning followed by a thunder before dinner in Stornoway (not marked on the map unfortunately). Flash easily visible and good rumbling afterwards.

Here's it as seen by my infrasound sensor. Really evident above background noise!
