August the 1st - time marches on.
At the end of this month we'll hopefully spot a few autumnal mists in low lying spots and hear the TV weather presenters talk about "the chance of a frost in the isolated glens of Scotland"
That's what I was expecting to see, but nothing yet. I had a chew on some wheat kernels this morning - still soft. Maybe another week/10days to go for them?
Just ordered a £90 log delivery for the Autumn. a pile of kindling sticks will also be getting chopped this week. I need to stock up as there won't be much heating going on this year with the price of oil as it is.
