  1. Home and Dry just given me a notif saying there's lightning 9 miles away. This one snuck up on me!
  2. The drought continues here. Little shower enough to wet the ground but not measurable.
  3. A PWS in Crawley showing rain rates near 30mm/hr with around 7mm of rain recorded in a v short amount of time. Really is quite a nasty downpour to get caught in. Dramatic temp drop too from 16c to 11c.
  4. A good near 10°C between Langdon Bay & Manston. The N Downs foehn effect is in full fledge this afternoon!
  5. Shows the storm can sustain itself & doesn't just collapse. It's good.
  6. Nearing 23°C here in Herne Bay this morning. Could hit 27/28°C before the day is gone! Might be enough to trigger a small storm.
  7. Still the potential for a few SB-based storms later on but for the majority it looks to be a no show.
  8. Not a mature storm though sadly. Haven't seen any lightning mate.
  9. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but they are nowhere near thunderstorms or a squall line forming. My deepest apologies.
  10. Not entirely sure what category to put this in but I've put it here for now. Does anyone have any pics of the Manston weather station? I can't seem to find any kind of pictures inside it, only satellite imagery. Thanks.
  11. Just change the extension of the file to .pdf & it works perfectly.
  12. Regarding that N Kent thundery shower, it must have had some positive strikes since one of them was a good 10 miles away and I could hear it rumbling away. Not really anything exciting though lol. Rain rates of 10.8mm/hr & 4.9 mm of rain from it all.
  13. That cell near Eastbourne has done surprisingly well in my opinion. Better than that ‘Kent clipper’ earlier.
  14. Not sure if that storm from the Channel will veer just to the East of me in Herne Bay. I’ll let you know the conditions if I get hit by it!
