  1. Beautiful structure on that decaying storm moving SSE from Cambridge.
  2. It's like mentioning supercell after looking at a thunderstorm on radar.
  3. Overcast but dry, current temp of 16.5°C & a DP of 13.2°C. 81% humidity. Lack of wind.
  4. No soaking here until Thursday morning on UKV. Begging for this rain at the mo!
  5. Nice watering for us all on UKV with the potential for a rumble of thunder under places where precip intensifies.
  6. It was indeed at 10:30 pm just after sunset on the 21st. Never seen anything like it since!
  7. Nearly a year ago that I saw some noctilucent clouds around 10 pm. Quite an amazing sight to see!
  8. Fingers crossed that these showers actually form to give the much needed rain a lot of us need!
  9. I'm not even bothered by a thundery element anymore. I just want some rain!
  10. 18th July 2014 was certainly the best one I can remember (wasn't interested in weather until 2013/14) with a shelf cloud enveloping my area, illuminated by a orange sunset & with flashes of lightning underneath it. Most of the lightning split off to my W but that storm structure puts it at the top of my list. 25th July 2019 was the best daytime thunderstorm I can remember with the MCS veering off to my E, giving a dry but amazing view of CGs galore along with fork & sheet lightning with the sun up. Might not seem like much to others but the fact it was daylight & not 2 in the morning was quite amazing to me. 18th July 2017 could also be up there with these 2. 2014 pics below, credit to Laura Tobin & Paul Douglas 2019 pic (taken by me) 2017 pic (taken by me)
  11. All models are going to be affected of course until this pandemic is over. Another notable thing is the lack of weather balloon data that isn't being retrieved.
  12. Definitely a noticeable drop in the data to around 280mb on the 18z run compared to the average size of 855mb on the normal 18z run.
  13. Nice to see the eye candy but you have to remember that it's going to get watered down. Good example of that was a week ago with the trough moving through too fast.
  14. Storms on MR this afternoon. Will have to wait till Monday to firm up on everythin g but I might have to take back what I said 2 hours ago.
  15. I have high doubts at this point for any kind of convective activity. Maybe the odd shower but that's it in my opinion.
  16. 18.2°C right now. Cloud blocking the sun out right now. Would of hit 20°C if it was out.
  17. A breakdown that is still in FL. No end in sight for the dry weather we are having.
  18. Few Intracloud strikes picked up from the IOSSC's lightning detector in Sheerness.
