Does anybody know what temperature we need today?
Current temperature is 16C, dew point is 14C (highest for some time) and humidity is 88%.
Same question here...been cloudy all morning in Shropshire, feels kinda chilly

What's the best way to work out the direction of a cell? Using the radar and going through each frame works ok, just wondering if there's a different technique? There's two cells near me (Bishops Castle) and they seem to be going in ever so slightly different directions thanks in advance!

Not too sure if anyone follows the UK WeatherWorld guys, but they don't have a forcast out for today yet, strange

Looking at radar, it looks like these showers are moving almost directly East-West!

Will these storms survive without surface heating?

Anyone got any idea how storms aren’t developing over Wales??
Seems to be struggling to break through the cap.

Do we agree with the Mets Thunderstorm warning? Looks too far North for me

Grey and dull in Shropshire, no surface heating going on yet!

Some stunning radar echoes today, but no strikes! Low amount of Cape to feed from I suppose?

Hi Supacell,
Am considering chasing tomorrow also, do you have any particularly good spots across W Midlands into Wales with good access routes etc. I'm thinking maybe positioning around the Shropshire AONB area? Maybe further north towards Shrewsbury. What's your thinking?
I live in the Shropshire AONB, so it's best if I stay put?

Beginning to cool now, garden thermometer peaked at 24° earlier today, now reading 20°. My radio is picking alot more sferic activity up than shown on the radar map and blitzortung. Still have lots of cumulus growing in height, very impressive, but without any action, the cap in situ must be a devil to break through. Watching the Chester cell closely, where is all this lightning? My radio sounds like it's on steroids.
I've counted 24 rumbles near me so far The cell that developed above me has starting to move North Eastwards
