It would be the fellas that are worse off from this 'cold' wouldn't it?

Man Flu is now a reality

Seriously though, I noticed this right from the start within a few days of reports when there was only 54 deaths, it was reported that only 8 were women (shortly after they stopped reporting on exactly how many men to women had died and just gave an overall death figure which just seemed really weird to me).

People kept putting it down to the 'fact' that more men would have been exposed at the start as they worked in the area it came from.  Thing is, it was a market and whilst it is likely that more men work the stores, it's mostly women that do the shopping for food so the exposure should have been roughly equal right from the get go.

  2. The video of the kids isn't related to coronavirus/Corvid-19, did some twitterdigging followed it back to it's source.

Apparently he was trying to highlight the fact that they are running out of bodybags and are having to put multiple bodies into them.

One a side note, why are people so filthy? I was at work yesterday and two youths walked past, one of them coughing their guts up and proceeding to 'gob' it out everywhere...in strong winds.

I can't tell you how angry stuff like that makes me, zero respect for anyone else around them. Just vile but oh so common a sight.

Because it's become 'normalized' for males to spit all over the floor due to it constantly being shown on TV via football matches/rugby/various other male sporting events etc

When anyone points out how disgusting sportsmen are when they do this I always reply that it's to help them slide better

  4. Really big thick fluffy looking flakes now  I have a love/hate relationship with snow, it looks awesome and brings out the 'kid' in me but at the same time I hate going out in it, especially as I have to rely on busses and you generally only find out about them being cancled by them not turning up after freezing partially to death at a bus stop

I agree, I understand the safety side of things of course and  appreciate everyones care, but a webcam footage of the seafront just doesn’t do a windstorm justice with me, I enjoy the thrill but without being stupid about it, the seafront is only a minutes walk from my house

Personally I like the noise, not that of the wind blowing around you and objects banging about, but the deep bass, continuous, almost screaming, roaring howl coming from the atmosphere high above you.  Always gives me goosebumps

  6. Very Thick fog outside, can only just make out the houses 3 rows downhill. Had a bit of week sun in the morning, but the frost was lingering in the back (southern facing) garden till well over 1pm. Won't be surprised if this sticks around and freezes tonight.

  7. The Squall Lines just hitting where I live now, absolutely insane horizontal rain, and I can feel the house shaking from the impact of the wind

EDIT: Whelp, that was interesting, rain was moving horizontal right -> left in-front of the lamp post, then there was a roar and it reversed directions for about 10/15 seconds or so, and now it's calmed down (for a given value of calm  ) and gone back to right -> left.  Saw a bin getting blown up the road during it too xD xD

NEW YEAR’S EVE is around the corner, but those heading out to watch the fireworks should pack their umbrellas windbreakers - a major...

Good old Express ends the year on a belter....

Nothing like a good piece of comedy to cheer people up xD ;D

Watching the radar now for any incoming snow.

    Your not the only one

Hopefully the Stoke on Trent 'Void zone' doesn't rear it's head, but right now there's nothing happening where I am, not even drizzle, despite being completely surrounded by rain according to the radar.  (why interesting weather seams to vanish when it gets anywhere near to us here is beyond me  )
