  1. The low pressure systems have been tracking unusually since October,GFS looks very possible to me cold to very cold with snow on the cards.
  2. These GFS charts if they verify, will be looking at something very special for U.K. in terms of very cold with lots of snow to boot.
  3. Charts firming up on a very wintery looking next week, snow possible any where in uk.
  4. To my eye after this very mobile period which looks on the cold side mostly after short milder period. Scandinavia looks prime for pressure rise in the 10 to 14 day period, just my opinion.
  5. Looking at 06z GFS the the pattern continues low pressure tracking from our north west over a weak ridge and settling in Scandinavia.Allowing cold to very cold north to north west winds, plenty of snow showers in many places. Not bad at all if charts can be believed at 240 hrs.
  6. Looking at mostly single figures for my part of the world for the next 10 days with a short period of 2 or 3 days of double figures .
  7. Hi just started posting on this forum,Some very knowledgable people on this forum great to be able to post my thoughts.
  8. Looks like the pattern change form horse for the beginning of December,is a week ridge to our west and low pressure tracking over the top from the northwest to northeast of us.leaving us in cold north to north west winds. Not a bad solution for early December, with always the chance of the gold card treatment of pressure rising to the north.
  9. Phil bang on the money the high pressure to our west northwest is crucial for Arctic northerlies, and of course low pressure to our east northeast.
  10. Good to see this northerly air stream being the dominant feature rather than our normal southwesterly. A continuous signal from GFS and ECM.Low pressure dominates from our east northeast, need pressure to be high to west northwest the latter preferable.
  11. The high pressure to our west and low pressure to our northeast could be the up and coming pattern change, would prefer high pressure further north west but that can still happen,a mobile patten looks the form horse with alternating north to north west incursions not bad for December.
  12. Could be some time before double figures are reached in the south of England a cold spell that’s for sure. looking ahead temperatures will more likely be below average rather than above.Winter starting very good for cold lovers.
  13. Both ecm and gfs showing high pressure to our west northwest and low pressure to our east northeast in nine to ten day range.Arctic northerlies following, cold to very cold on the cards for all very promising for a wintery outlook.
  14. Keeping an eye on the tracks of low pressure from west to east is the key to every door. Regarding cold or mild winters in this country of ours.
  15. Long way out but a possible change of low pressure tracking over high pressure to our west northwest, And settling in to our northeast giving some cold to very cold arctic air,GFS picking this up although a long way out it is nice to see and very possible.
  16. Looking at those charts Phil, low pressure to our north east and high pressure to our west possible or nw. Looking likely to give a north westerly air stream during mid December, and chilly not bad.
