  1. Indeed - the NMM seems to think that will be pretty intense around SE London at about lunchtime tomorrow. DS Whoops - NMM not NNM... Acronyms, who'd have 'em...
  2. Doesn't look like that on the radar - are they expecting some convective stuff or are they using their crystal ball? It looks pretty much light but persistent for the rest of the day from where I'm sitting. Would be nice if it came true though DS
  3. SWEET - the green blob seems to be going straight for MBY! Deffo a walk with the camers tomorrow.... DS
  4. Bright headtorch coming in very useful now - my own portable lamp post. Heavy steady snow - wind getting up as well. DS
  5. Proper steady snow now in Bromley.... Hopefully locked in for the next 24 hours DS
  6. Just put on my LED headtorch and set it to narrow beam.... BINGO.. Small snowflakes floating around in the calm air. Even in this cold weather we have a couple of foxes making babies in our backgarden.... Noisy B*gg*rs <_< DS
  7. That is a very good view.. You get a great idea of the rotation and it looks like the bulk of the heavy stuff may hit considerably further east (Gtr London-wise) than was originally thought... Here's hoping DS
  8. I've just run the animation feature on the NW radar. If the ppn continues its current track then it looks like SE London will get the stuff that has come ashore around the Eaastbourne/Beachy Head area. It's moving VVV slowly though so no breath holding here.... DS
  9. You're almost due south of me (I'm in Bromley) - IF it reaches this far we should see it at more or less the same time... DS
  10. Jan, the radar suggests that South of London snow is as far south as the coast. It hasn't quite reached us yet - not sure if it is still moving east though... DS Bromley - SE London/NW Kent
  11. Tantalisingly close to Bromley now going by the NW radar.... Is it still moving East or has it started to pivot? DS
  12. Hi Kold How is this likely to compare with Feb last year? We got around 4 inches (poss more) out of that one... DS
  13. Kewl pretty close then  - I plan on taking a stroll in the "Heavy Snow" (assuming we get it tomorrow) with the camera. Hope it's like last Feb... DS
  14. Whereabouts in Bromley? I'm in Shortlands - 10 mins from the High St.... DS
  15. Could you use a thinner pen? 'because at the mo Bromley is right under the ink! It would be nice to be inside the "leaf"
  16. Will we actually be able to watch it in daylight? I'd hate to miss out 'cause the heavy stuff falls overnight.... DS Edited - can't spellll.
  17. BBC forecast has just gone for the SW "solution" with nothing worth reporting over London/Kent.... No fingernails left........ DS
  18. I remember my boarding school days in Kesgrave in the 80's. Had some amazing snow days there.... *sigh* DS
  19. Is it me or is the air really dry at the moment? I'm sitting in front of the computer with the window open (yes it is cold!) and the heating off in my room... and I keep getting static shocks from anything metal... Glad the PC is well earthed. Hopefully the unstable air from tomorrow will reduce this a tad. DS
  20. *Gulp* If that verifies then SE England are in for 1.5 days of uninterrupted snow. That would be "interesting"..... DS Editied for bad maths!
  21. Am I the only one who would love (for once) to have the decent snow actually fall during the day so it can be seen? The bit I like about snow is watching it fall - very relaxing and "chilling" (forgive the pun).... DS
  22. Latest models look "hot" for Central Southern and Midlands for tomorrow - SE seem to be missing the brunt... DS
