    I live in Congleton, not much came of this, a light shower for about 10 seconds..hoping that anvil in the distance comes up this way

    yea nothing will happen here now despite a severe thunderstorm risk, too late in the day for surface heating

    despite numerous warning across multiple sites and platforms of severe weather where I am, its now late afternoon and still warm sunshine and the odd cumulus cloud in Congleon..looks like again forecast was wrong for here

    That mcs over North Sea is too far north and east to affect the UK so I'm going to bed, better luck tomorrow hopefully

    Have a feeling north west will just get moderate rain

    And of course as always we have absolutely nothing, just a brief 20 second light shower, nearly 3 years since we had a rumble now

    So frustrating, I live in Congleton. The storm approached, stopped, turned right and went across to Leek. Few distant rumbles and no rain whatsoever. Literally incredible how we didn't get anything from that.
