    MattStoke even a 50 mile shift further south in the next few runs shall help significantly!hopefully we start seeing that on the 06z and 12zs of arpege ecm ukmo and gfs!!keep me up to date buddy!!!!

    Gfs has absolutely smashed the euros apart!!!one of em is bad enough but to smash both of em out the park that is embarassing!!!gfs has defo been on it over the last few months!!!!ecm and ukmo i really cant understand what has gone wrong with em especially the ecm!!!!has there been any tweaking with the ecm system over the last year?!!!!ukmo im sorry to be wrong like that at 3 days out you gota question it!!!!enjoy wateva snow we can get for us midlanders in the short time frame!!!

    northwestsnow im not either mate!!!i did say gfs shall be more closer to the mark!!we had a similar situation earlier in the winter and gfs won it handsdown!!!something aint quite right with the ecm in the last few months!!!!

    Waaaay better than gfs though for sure!!!!!also the i think the low is 5mb deeper rather than it being further north otherwise would av been identical to the 00z!!!

    Battleground Snow yes we have the comfort of knowing that gfs can and has been wrong at just 48 or 72 hours out before!lets hope this is one of those moments!!!

    Battleground Snow i would have to go with gfs man as hard it is for us snow lovers!!!!ecm been all over the shop this winter which is my go to model normally!!gfs has been rock solid with this so far!!!!!

    Lukesluckybunch hmmmm!!!!!!its so finely balanced in terms of a 100 miles further south or north!!if we had a colder wedge of air ahead of it say -10 850s then i would have said there probably wont be another push north and if anything it shall be further south!!but because the air ahead of that low is not exactly frigid then i can discount it pushing further north than forecasted!!if i was south of lets say northampton i wouldnt get my hopes up to be fair!!

    Absolutely brilliant for the whole of the midlands this morning at only 72 hours!ukmo remains south!!ecm has gone further south and gives midlands and wales a walloping!!arpege a little further north though!!poor gfs seems to be on the ropes this morning!!best thing is whatever snow does fall on ecm and ukmo should stick around for a while!!

    Now watch the ecm all of a sudden look great again from 192 hours onward!!!only to get diluted come closer to the time!!!!at some point the dice shall obviously fall in our favour lol!!

    IDO how anyone can be positive about the gfs and ecm in the reliable timeframe this evening apart from that transient snow on thursday is beyond me!!!!!even the best looking model this evening which is ukmo is rubbish with hardly any snow!!!!!alarm bells are not even ringing anymore becuase to be fair they rang on the 18th of january which was my last real informative post lol!!!!!

    IDO i said it in my post early in the day!!i expected ecm to move to gfs and thats what has happened!!!i got a bit excited when i seen the ukmo and arpege earlier and thought just maybe ecm would be correct but looks not to be!!!ah welll lets scrape watever we can thursday because the the ecm has moved to gfs at 144 hours with pure and utter dross!!!!

    Ali1977 its not much mate it really isnt!!!!after looking at the 850s and the pressure charts earlier i expected so much more!!!!its still a developing situation anyway so lets see over the next few days!

    No sugar coating it but that is seriously underwhelming from ukmo in terms of snow for thursday friday!!!
