  1. Evening all - Hope you are all well. At least the early hours is at least somthing to look forward to. Already booked myself off work being the gaffer, i dont have a holiday form! (Self employment) Hit and miss i see? But at least is better than being way south and just rain. As the warnings go, theres a little chance. I will be up at 4:30am, just incase.
  2. Crikey! Now that would be Insane - 81 or 82 i cant remember but near Essington we made a massive hole in the snow in the old railway valley and it worked. Oh, those days didnt feel the cold and put batterys on top of the fire to make them work again !
  3. The ISS (International Space Station) went into darkness, before the impending storm. I did see some gravity waves maybe? In the cloud formations just before the stations camera went into night. A few screenshots just for referance. (Off topic but the ISS cam with tracker and lightning detectors from around the world is great to see from above in near real time downlink 3 mins and prosess)
  4. Heads up, or down if i may. The ISS (International Space Station) track will take it over the mid Atlantic in 40 mins or so, It may just be out of light to see anything but i thought i would mention it anyway. Live stream (in typing its out of signal range but it will connect in a while) ISS Tracking Current position of the ISS WWW.ASTROVIEWER.NET The current position of the ISS and its ground track.
  5. In all said, remember the dumping that (was comming) never happened to the mids, then it was South, then nothing happened, Bar France.
  6. Had a little snow last night too @nobble just down the range from you. Telford today at work more so HorseHay. Snow dendrites were apparent on bins etc, sorry i should have taken a few pics but it was cold and wanted to get back home early on a Friday. Ive been working out in this 2 weeks now, it grinds you down.
  7. I have not read anything, on mod. Going to get a birt cold yes. but Chill out maybe
  8. @*Stormforce~beka* Both engines shutdown fine, hell of a view on MEKO
  9. I got timed out and could not log in at all. I was going to do a 10 min Heads up but it it did not work.
  10. @*Stormforce~beka* Top left of screen is the live timer, take it to T+00:07:10, loud comments on vox but you will hear them.
  11. The subsonic booms were ace upon both Boosters while they landed. Also at Throttle up, always gives me chills.
  12. If your a night owl Space x Falcon Heavy is set to launch at 01:07 GMT. Its payload is the secritive Space Force X-37B spaceplane. This launch has been cancelled i think four times now due to weather and tech problems on the boosters (That are recycled starlink Boosters i may add but not the main core (the middle one)) The Falcon heavy is three Falcon 9 boosters together, so it will be bluddy loud. Space x has its head on the block now going for this, i just hope all goes well. Telematary, depending where the payload needs to be the launch is from Florida - thus usually sending the load over the West Atlantic to Europe so might be worth looking up, if you get chance - again its telemetary is unknown the only thing will be be the video feed, unless you have a radio telescope to hand (Jodrell bank?) It could be missed. Anyway, enjoy the show night owls live link below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqeM-CWz2Eo
  13. Well, the level 2 did suffice from estofex it seems? Good job on them, woke up from Christmas dinners and they got it right. Torro was sleeping oh wait yes, must be the sprouts. They have a warning. Now? The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (TORRO) WWW.TORRO.ORG.UK TORRO is a privately-supported research body specialising in severe convective weather in Britain and Ireland
  14. Squall passing by now, almost passed. Bar a bit of heavy rain in Willenhall. Looks like a fence panel inspection session tomorrow, here at also at my Bro's too as he's in sunny climates in the Med.
  15. Some weak activity across N Mids, a few lightning strikes too, upon looking at the blitzortung radar.
  16. Significant rain, currently. Outside temp gauge broken due to gusty conditions midday.
  17. Thank god for that, a new page that can load without a multitude of links or heavy burden on browser, to some looking for recent Storm activity with slow internet. @Robert1981 The 3rd one you asked it is the UKMO / Iceland Lightning detection. Or ADT Network. Linky here: https://brunnur.vedur.is/athuganir/eldingar/i_dag_na.html?
  18. Its a old habit for me i tend to look at all convective outlooks, day in day out what ever time of year. Glad that lightning is showing but its the time to be very aware of wind gusts now possible 3 hours of peak activity now.
  19. Update, i was wrong. The small squall dissipated. Im sorry i was to early. A few strikes to Mid Wales just now. Main feature is now the much stronger squall to southern Ireland area bearing North East also giving off some lightning too. Again, i could be wrong but worth keeping a eye on.
  20. I have no idea if cross posts work, anyway a copy and paste might be sucsessfull?
  21. Well, well Estofex has gave a storm warning. Its been windy and gusty at times here, a destroyed fence panel; with the bins dancing around. Weak orange glow again after sunset. Must be the jetstream overhead optical phenomina. Keep a eye on the squall line thats currently entering south Wales i think that was the reason for the forecast from Estofex Quote: A level 2 was issued across parts of far SE-Ireland/NW-UK mainly for (extremely) severe wind gusts but also for a nocturnal tornado threat with a strong event possible. A level 1 surrounds the level 2 with similar hazards but lower probabilities. https://www.estofex.org/
  22. Space Weather Enthusiasts Dashboard | NOAA / NWS Space Weather Prediction Center WWW.SWPC.NOAA.GOV Running this on a Computer, note the eruption has happend and be looped back. Some minor happenings right now on the UK aroura page: AuroraWatch UK · AuroraWatch UK AURORAWATCH.LANCS.AC.UK See the aurora borealis from the UK Its nice and cloudy here.
  23. I wonder if this launch were Elon's viewing to making the Super heavy? Anyway, the music was by Queen so need i say more Very poor quality im sorry, but somtimes makes it better from ones point of view. Note turn down volume at 2mins 10!
  24. A couple of images took yesterday afternoon as the thaw was going on, used the drone in light rain too - but not for long, i did get higher but the mist base was too low to capture anything decent. I should have got out eairler but i had been awake best part of 22 hours so a nice sleep was on the cards! Short lived but that night was Ace.
