  1. Gritters, good point not seen one at all, my ring cam triggers vehicles on the lane, and the Ice warning is now valid after the snow.
  2. Wow, you will see them there, just keep a eye on the solar cycle - as you know the live camers are there. In time ill try send you a few links than might be helpfull, as an amateur astronomer / weather watcher, my old saying is to look up not down, how many do that these days?
  3. Ahh Brilliant well done, note the vertical light pillars too, rare, very rare.
  4. Dead on 0.0c now. Settled snow white over. If i can stay awake 5 more hours (after being up from 4am Saturday) Wil be brilliat photograpy at dawn.
  5. Ace, glad you enjoyed it, flakes looked massive in the vids! The Aroura the other night, i missed it Friday 10pm ish Any luck?
  6. I had to look twice the telecoms wire looks like a cable car run in Austia!
  7. Up to -0.1c (rising) Currently. Snow has stopped, still white over on road, van, bin, roof, patio. The kitchen sink is dry.
  8. @Lisa Martin Thanks for the updates, looks to be much settled and deeper than the last video you sent, hope supplys are in!
  9. Crikey, all we need a genny, lights and music, we have a all nighter here! We already got snow, within reason !
  10. Belter of a night in here folks, ups and downs but more ups than downs, great to see the unexpected snow in areas, just now And all in all your enjoying it, that makes it for me
  11. Cant resist the ol' slipper test! Best i could thow together in quick time, after being up from 4am. That said its still snowing here but upon looking at the radar, conditionds will dissipate - then i think the ice warning will be apparent. Its been a great night in the Mids thread, i have not 'drifted' elseware
  12. Likwise here, some places non touched some snowed on. I done the slipper test, 1.8cm and i did not 'slip' over - i nearly did tho! Technically that could be 2cm as the snow compacted under foot. Another reason i miss my feline friend, he only made one track on his paws, came back the same way. There, a starwars tip there if i ever!
  13. No wonder for the past 3 hours ive heard no 'boy racers' go belting down the lane here - is usually like a grand prix on a saturday night here!!
  14. Sorry to hear that @wende123 16 years i had him from a kitten he had a great life, went through everything with me thick and thin he could talk to me too, i say hello mate he always responded. I could go on. (long post i cut short it was getting to me heavy, sorry)
  15. Still snowing, but the one and only thing i miss is my little departed friend you see in my av photo. He liked the snow and his little paw prints are here no more. This is when it hurts a bit. Ok A lot.
  16. With the reports coming in around the mids, its amazing what a few miles can do.
  17. I know i tryed it the other weekend at 120m can see everything on the controller, but he drone looks lik a house martin 1 mile away! The LED lampost is doing well, my van is white over too, ill take a few pics whist the snow is here
  18. Thank you, but one question would the aid of lights overshoot me on 249g? It has lights on the port side and a downlink on telemitry to the controller in live video, so if i dont go daft i still know where i am - i know thats easyer said than done when at 120 meters high!
  19. Yes it will come, ive not flown my drone in the dark yet or snow! I know it has RTH etc takes some big round ones to do it tho!
  20. The word BLOB is ace, reminds me of a heavy (Maybe even fortean) drum and bass tune by Hospital Records i posted into the MOD thread many years ago, its called the blob. Listen in silence or have the full wrath - sums it up especially the telephone when the GFS is mixed up the GEM or whatever! Light heart comedy.
